• Great location, clean, beach access, quiet, great bed!

“I went to South Beach for a weekend of partying. The Surf comber was in the middle over everything, but also very quiet so I was able to rest when I wanted to. The bed was comfortable - the bathroom was clean - I had plenty of towels. Front desk and door staff were always friendly. I would definitely go back!”

• The location, friendly staff and the best part was the cookies we had everyday.
• They charge for water instead of giving it as a complimentary like most hotels.

• Delious warm cookies.
• The room looked like one that would be found in a budget motel.

“The staff was very nice, I was very disappointed at the appearance of the room. There was just enough room in the bathroom to turn around and the extremely small space between the toilet handle and the counter (if you could call it that) was just enough to get a finger in to flush.”

• It was very close to shopping, beach and nightlife.

• The hotel was great and very helpful.
• Charging my debit card without proper authorization.

“The hotel was excellent. Friendly staff except for the valet. They started to get a little ticked off at the fact that I needed my car more than 3 times a day. There was no parking on the street so you had no option but to pay $40.00 a day for valet and yet they still complained about retrieving the car so often. The front desk staff was wonderful. The manager made sure that my needs were met.”

• Directly at the beach.
• Valet parking is double the price of what you pay when parking your car two blocks down for 24 hours.

• The only thing I liked about it was that we were only staying for one night.
• Room was wrong. 1 full size bed and no counters in bathroom due to ADA compliance. Manager not accommodating.

“At check in the front desk seemed confused. Maybe new. when we got to room it was horrible, stains on carpet and walls, size of bed, etc. we called down to tell them they put us in the wrong room without the king size bed and they argued with us. I Called the manager and he said. Sorry about that, can I give you a complimentary breakfast? At $300 per night for a motel style room I didnt think a free breakfast would make it alright. We declined and he did nothing else. Don't be fooled by the great location. This was the poorest hotel experience I have ever had.”

• Great location on beach and great pool area.
• Music at the pool. Would prefer silently enjoying the beach, palms and water as I relax and read.

• Cleaning was not great.

“Location was fabulous, right on the beach. Hotel staff was responsive and professional. However, the cleaning crew really only made the beds and replaced towels and things. They did not throw things away.”

• No parking and valet is expensive. Free internet in the lobby, but not in your room.

“Despite not having parking, the hotel was pretty good. Internet was free in the lobby, but not in your room - they might as well have it free all over the hotel - will prevent people with laptops everywhere in the lobby.”

• Housekeeping.

“Checked out 1 day early, housekeeping no where to be found. I was charged 70.00 for 2 pillows I was accused of taking (which they have credited back) though I can see where such a mishap could happen due to lack of housekeeping staff. Rooms are rather small and lack a smell of cleanliness. My trip was for an event at the Jackie Gleason theater and was a block away from the hotel, if you're traveling to s. Beach for an event there, Id recommend the hotel outside of that, you can do much better.”
