- The curry pineapple, Tom Yum Kai and sizzling seafood were impressive.
- Service, slow but when the food arrives, it's worth the wait.
“If you have some time to wait, go here for dinner. The service was very slow (which was understandable since there was only one waitress- family owned) but the food was wonderful. The Curry Pineapple and sizzling seafood were delicious not to the mention the Tom Yum Kai soup. The salad rolls you may want to pass on (the imitation crab was iffy). As I said, the service was slow but the waitress admitted this and was up front about it. Worth the wait.”

- If you like Gumbo, This place is for you!
- The decrease in quality makes this place a poor value.
“Having frequented this establishment since the first opened its doors in 97; I've been very disappointed since they moved to the new location. While they can seat more people, the menu choices, service, and quality have all suffered. On my most recent visit with family from out of town, the service was non-existent, the ribs were dry and the fish cold. Most disappointing was the burnt dry mass of inedible bread pudding. The gumbo is about the only thing that tastes like it used to. I dont think well be back. Except to maybe return the bread pudding we took home.”

- Good location.
- Impersonal.
“I have been a patron for 10+ years and the owner looks through me like a plate glass window! The waitresses are cute but have no idea what customer service really means. We are trying to find another venue for Friday afternoon beers.”

- Fresh ingredients and we love the salad dressing.
- Lines too long, too crowded, and congested front entry for pick ups orders.
“All home-made food was excellent, staff was warm, funny and accommodating and you can afford to feed a family of 4. Outdoor dining in summer on the water. Combine nature and good food, unbeatable, but sometimes lines to get in can be long. We know the kids that work there and they are always pleasant and professional. Quality is consistent. Can't say enough.”

- Spicy, tasty food.
- May have to wait for a seat on Fri/Sat.
“This type of colorful, creative, healthy, spicy southwestern cuisine is dime-a-dozen in the better city's of Texas and New Mexico, but this is the only restaurant like it for hundreds of miles around. It even has the laid back vibe of Austin TX that I so enjoyed back in grad school. Recommended!”
