• Very clean, quiet, good food, and service.
• Could use more parking space.

“I have eaten at La Mexicana many times and have never had a bad experience, which I can't say for most places I have eaten. The food has a different flavor from the run of mill Tex-Mex food. This is authentic Mexican food from Mexico. Their vegetables and salsas taste fresh and entrees are not smothered in cheese and grease. Their specialty is Flautas which I was told were introduced first in the the southern United States by the original owner whose wife of 90 plus years still not only owns the restaurant, but still cooks there daily. The owner's granddaughter who manages the restaurant makes sure everyone receives not only good food but the epitome of good service. I like this place!”

• Food was great and service was good, didn't take too long.
• Nothing, just liked it all.

“My hotel recommended it and I'm glad they did, not only was the food great, but service was also good. I was impressed on the quality of the food. Now most places are so processed and the place was clean and looked relaxing. I even went back the next day for the lunch special. This is going to be 'a have to stop to eat' place.”

• Manger with spiky hair, he's fast.
• Nothing at this time.

“I travel a lot to San Antonio, on one of my visit I brought my family and friends with me to Ruthies, we were greeted at the door by the manager, asked if we wanted to eat in or take out, we said for here and that we needed a table for fifteen. I said sorry for the short notice, he said no problem, he said a few words to his staff and it took them 10 minutes which was really fast. We ordered and our food came out fast and fresh, the home-made Tortillas are the best in San Antonio, better than Las Palapas and Taco Cabana and the restaurants downtown can't compare for the quality and the prices. Thank you manager, great job, you always keep your crew at there best. Visit them soon and try the Huevos Rancheros with Bacon and you will be in heaven I promise.”

• Excellent service and superb menu.
• Could not keep my tea glass filled.

“My husband and I have started traveling as I discover my family roots in West Texas. On our first trip we discovered the Beef master steak house in Ballinger and have made it an always stop here stop on all of our trips. This restaurant reminds me of meals with family and friends when I was growing up.”

• Great food and really nice people.
• They play Mexican music.

“They serve the best tacos I've ever eaten! It's family owned, family friendly and is packed full of customers during lunch and dinner. The food is good. Honestly, one of my favorite places to eat in long view and Tyler. I'd eat there everyday if my wife would let me. Try half beef and half ham.”
