Burger King
Apr 30, 2008 by
CharlieJ
from Near Tabor City
Overall Rating: 2

“Undoubtedly the poorest managed burger king on the east coast. The service is terrible and the attitudes from some employees are even worse. Don't expect friendly smiles or fast service. Due to my kids, our hectic lifestyle and the fact that BK is the only fast food in tabor city, we must eat there from time to time.”

- Close.
- Bad & unsanitary. Management does NOT care
“Three bites in got a full sized glue on fingernail baked in the dough. Called the waitress & left. Manager would not return my phone calls for more than a week, then referred me to the district manager who was worse than rude & could care less. Eat here at you own risk!”

“We went in for lunch on our way to the beach. Worst dinning experience ever. Slow service, bad food, too much money, and managers didn't care.”

Chaney's Of Reidsville

from High Point

- Huge portions of good food.
- Chicken sandwich was below par.
“Chaney's is a typical country restaurant, nothing fancy, but good food and plenty of it for a very reasonable price. With the exception of large steaks. I got a huge portion of fried catfish, which was delicious. My wife was not happy with her chicken sandwich, which was a bit tough and fatty. Breakfast is served all day and my daughter loved her Belgian waffle. The biscuits were delicious. This restaurant is popular with the locals. We went for Sunday dinner around 1 pm and there was a 10-minute wait.”

Amalfi Harbour

Overall Rating: 9

- Food and wine list.
- No negatives.
“Really excellent Italian food and friendly service. Try the specials rather than hitting the menu, because that's what they want to cook that night. Also good value on the wine list, and you can try just about everything by the glass. If the service seems a little slow, it's because they're making everything from scratch, and it shows when it gets to the table. Plenty of parking. Amalfi is regular little gem, and we're going back soon.”
