- Service was fair.
- Food was adequate at best.
“Not having the promised prime rib, waiting for a cocktail until the main course arrived, and so-so food, I cannot recommend this place. Service was OK, but everything else left a lot to be desired.”

“I took my 2 sons out to dinner for my younger sons birthday and the service was horrible. First of we traveled 28 miles just to eat at this place, which would not have been a big deal if there had been good service and better food. We waited for at least 20 minutes before anyone came over! After 20 minutes a waitress came and asked, did anyone come over yet? and I quote "we were deciding who was going to come over here". Now, what kind of a comment is that? At that point I should have just taken my family and left. Although, we decided to stay after the long drive and the service never got better. The waitress smirked about everything that I asked for and even acted like she did not know what paper napkins were. The service was bad and the food was dull and bland. I choose The Macaroni Grill over the Olive Garden, but it seems to have been the wrong choice. I would never recommend this location to anyone!”

Shang Hai Restaurant

- Nothing.
- Terrible food, horrible rude service and poor management.
“A very costly mistake for Chinese restaurant Shanghai Restaurant, located in Sparks, Nevada. Shanghai Restaurant and Sushi House should shut down their doors. This will be worth reading. 90 of our guests will not be eating here ever again! I recently had my Chinese wedding banquet at Shanghai Restaurant, located in Sparks, Nevada, across from Reed High School. The banquet was for 90 guests and the owner of Shanghai Restaurant assured me that they can accommodate that many guests. Boy, this kid did not know what he was talking about! The restaurant was not able to accommodate 9 tables that seated 10 guests at each table. So, he stuck 3 tables filled with 30 guests behind a divider that made my guests feel like they werent important enough to be with the rest of the group. Next, the tables that were supposed to be set up for the guest book, wedding cake and wine beverage were never in the right place, let alone enough spaces to hold everything. As the guests started to arrive, we asked the manager and his wait staff to begin bringing out the water or sodas or some beverage for the guests while they waited for dinner to be served. We were told that the restaurant did not have enough glasses for everyone, so the guests who really wanted a drink should ask for one. I was so disgusted when they started to bring out blue plastic cups to serve my guests with water and coke. They promised that the guests could have an assortment of sodas and tea. No tea was served as with the traditional Chinese wedding banquet. And who serves plastic cups? They did not even bring out any drinking glasses or tea cups! We even rented our own wine glasses to serve our own wine! The final straw was when a few dozen of our guests reported that they saw Shanghai Restaurant wait staff sneaking off plates filled with our wedding cake into the kitchen for them to enjoy. Guests witness them eating the cake behind the divider that separated the kitchen and dining area. I was thoroughly disgusted when I heard that the wait staff stole our cake and ate them without even asking! It was the most disrespectful thing that I have ever heard of in my entire life! I dont recall the wait staff as being part of the wedding guests? The service was so poor and the staff was rude and disrespectful to all of us! Disgusting! They screwed us over for the amount of money they charged and hence they screwed themselves over as well. The sushi there is terrible and is really fishy smelling. The dark room disguises the stale food. The seaweed salad is often served frozen. Terrible! Dont say I didnt warn you.”
