Brass Balls Saloon Inc
Sep 27, 2008 by Grimm from DC
Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[2] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Somewhat responsive.
  • Lousy crab cakes.

“Crab cakes described as jumbo lump with just enough breading to hold it together. I asked the waiter if this was true. He said yes. It wasn't; there was a lot of stringy filler meat. I sent it back. They brought out another one for my inspection. It looked better, but again turned out to be only 1/4 lump, and really too salty to taste any crab. Not worth $20. After paying, I told the manager (after waiting a bit), and he said he'd look into it, but claimed that they usually got good reviews for those.”

Captain Galley 2
Sep 22, 2008 by Sue from Harrisburg, PA
Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Food:[7] • Service:[5] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Watching the boats.
  • Crab cakes were totally different then the past 20 years.

“We have eaten at Captain's Galley for over 20 years. Last week we were in Ocean City and ate there 4 times. Never again. We could not wait to eat the crab cakes. Well they were not the usual CG Crab cakes. There were big chunks of some kind of meat in them but it did not have the texture or taste of crab cakes. The tartar sauce is terrible. Kraft. The salad bar was a huge disappointment, salad brown and lumpy and the pasta salad tasted horrible. They raised their prices but sure not their quality. We will stay on the other side of the bay the next time we are in OC and find some other restaurants that are better.”

Dannys Restaurant 3
Sep 19, 2008 by Labee
Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6
Food:[8] • Service:[4] • Atmosphere:[6]

  • Great Brats and Danny is very funny.
  • NA.

“I went with a group from Tuesday night Mixed Bowling. Danny was there in what looked like a toga and a baseball cap, but he was cooking them brats! They were very good, but then he was trying to sell baseball cards to the customers! Bathrooms have been fixed, but I noticed a peephole looking into the kitchen.”

Mama Stellas Restaurant
Sep 16, 2008 by Al & Barb from bryans road
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[8] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Beer and food prices.
  • No advertising onside building.

“Bryans Road MD. A great place to sit down and relax and have a drink and eat without feeling you need to be rushed in and rushed out. The food was more then filling. We even had food to take home for lunch the next day. Great prices on drinks and food for the area of Bryans Road. Waitress was very helpful in answering questions on the business, food, and drinks. Waitress also in formed us that there are lunch and dinner specials everyday of the week.”

Jims Hideaway
Sep 16, 2008 by Maggie from Chattanooga
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[8] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Relaxed, informal atmosphere and friendly waitresses, and books to read.
  • Food, other than crabs, is decent but not remarkable.

“Steamed Crabs are the specialty at this laid-back, comfy bar-diner. the BLT is also stellar! The waitresses were friendly and remembered us on our second trip and thereafter. there is a bar, a room with cozy booths and a sunny room with tables. The waitresses keep a bucket of crayons for the kiddies and there was a simple kids menu. They also have a selection of paperback books for bookworms to browse through.”
