“It is the best Chinese restaurant I can find in the area. I ordered their Hong Kong style walnut shrimp (must try!) and the portion was perfect for me. I guess people who said the portion was too small may be comparing with other cheap buffet Chinese restaurant, but Cathay Kitchen is not a buffet restaurant. In addition to usual dishes, they have other special kinds of Chinese food. My friend ordered Wonton noodle in soup and it does taste like what we had in Hong Kong, what a surprise! I will come again and try some other special food next time.”

“March 15, 2008, a group of seven, went to the restaurant. The service rates as one of the all time worst. We were promptly seated, given menus, and drink orders were taken. It took 55 minutes (I timed it) from the time we ordered until we received our order. The restaurant was not overly busy. The section that we sat in was not half full. We watched as others (at least 7 parties) arrived after us and received their dinner prior to our party. One person at our table ordered nothing but a chicken salad. It does not take an hour to make a chicken salad! Food taste and quality was average at best. Atmosphere is above average. Over the past three months, I have eaten at the restaurant approximately eight times and the service has been poor on half the occasions. Food quality and taste has diminished over the past few years. If you like an average meal and have lots of time to sit and twidle your thumbs, this is the place for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. I will never eat here again. Too many other restaurants in the area that have good food and service.”

• Good selection if they keep the food out.
• Slow in keeping food trays refilled, some poor service people.

“I have been really disappointed with this restaurant recently. I use to tell all the people I work with in another town and my relatives in other counties that this is the best Golden Corral around. I more frequently get a waitress that I'm not impressed with when all they have to do is give you an extra plate a drink refill. My last time in I went in on a Friday at 5:30 p.m. which I would consider prime time for their fish night. Would you believe there wasn't a single piece of fish out on the buffet. All the trays for fish and shrimp of any kind were empty. Several other items were also out or almost out. I complained to the manager who said they would have it out in four minutes. In five some shrimp came out and maybe ten some other fish came out. What was one of my favorite places to eat seems to be going down hill. It all comes back to poor management.”

“My first visit, but definitely won't be my last. The food was outstanding, well portioned, fairly priced. From appetizer to dessert was a dining pleasure. Our server was very attentive to our needs and pleasant. Well worth the drive for a fine home style meal. Nothing fancy here, just great old time county cooking. While there, don't miss the gift shop across the street at the old mill site.”

• Everything was wonderful. The food, the service, and that fresh baked bread.
• The lighting was a little to dark.

“My husband and I another couple ate at Carrabbas for the first time about 3 weeks ago. We thought it was wonderful. The waiter we had discussed the entire menu with us, and even gave his recommendations. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We can't wait to eat there again. The only complaint I had was that the lighting was a little to dark. But, other than that we had a wonderful experience.”
