• Pretty wood on the walls.
• Food, service, atmosphere.

“My husband took me here recently for dinner as we had never been there before and had heard very nice comments about the food, especially the steaks. We could not have been more disappointed. The menu was over-priced for this area; the dining room was full and very noisy with people eating food they thought was exceptional. We could not have been more disgusted with the entrees we ordered, which were Walleye and a 12-ounce sirloin steak. The fish was very thin, mostly breading and grease; the steak tasted raw. We will definitely not be back, ever! We could have eaten at so many other places for far less money and had a really good meal. The Forest Inn restaurant should not be operating.”

• Everything!
• The one booth where you sink into the worn out cushion.

“We've been going there for years. First of all, everything is homemade. I don't think I've even looked at the menu, okay maybe I've looked at it but I live for the specials - can't wait to see what's on it from day to day. Love the Wednesday & Friday all you can eat fish. The Cajun is my favorite. The $1 taco specials is a great value when you're short on cash just before payday. The Cranberry Butter French Toast is to die for! As is the Bread Pudding, Chorizo Casserole, Western Benedict. And when I say I want my Hash Browns burned and crispy, they actually are, every other place I go they're afraid to do as I ask. The Corned Beef Hash has spoiled me for life - nowhere else can compare to Pete's! Pete and his crew are the best.”

• Good location.
• Service and quality of food is not good.

“We ate at this location for the first time and we will never go back again. Took us 10 minutes to get drinks and menus and about 15 to get our food. We almost walked out 3 times. The servers argue on who is taking the table more than actually do in the job. The manager was rude and blamed their "busy and full business".Only half the tables were full and there were at least 8 servers. No reason for excuses! And after we left. Everyone at the table were sick from the food not even an hour later!”

• Very friendly folks.
• Not very good food. Will not go back.

“Saw the restaurant on the food channel show. Went 11-13-09 waited 45 minutes past our reservation time. Was very disappointed. I have a feeling the addition they are scrambling to build will not be needed. Once folks get a taste like we did it will be one and done.”
