- Great atmosphere. Good live music.
- A little tight for space.
“My wife and I just returned from a great 4 days in Budapest - what a great city it is too. We ended-up at the For Sale Pub every night we were there. The restaurants tend to close quite early in town so it was really great to have some where to have a late drink and every night was like walking into a party as the buzz in that little bar was great. Its certainly very basic but if its some fun with real nice people go there. (theres' free real peanuts for everyone all night too). If you want the hotel the Zara round the corner is great too!”

- Range of menu, excellent value, good music and atmosphere.
- A little cramped when fully seated.
“My wife and daughter (15 years) have just returned from Budapest. We stayed at an apartment just around the corner from the For Sale Pub. It is a typical character bar/cafe, just like a Western movie - straw on the floor, colts and rifles on the walls. To add to the character it is traditional to attach a calling card, boarding pass, and ticket - just about any memento of your visit - to the wooden walls! There are over 100 dishes on the menu, plus lots of side dishes such as salads, pickles, fries so there is something for everyone. If not, they will make up a meal to order from any ingredients they have in hand. The portions are large. In fact the menu states that the 'ladies and children' can have smaller portions and only be charged 75% of the menu cost. As an example the goulash, good value at 1,100 Ft, is more than enough for 2 people. It fills almost 4 bowls and the bread basket comes with 7 or 8 thick slices of bread. To cap it all, in the evenings there is music provided by good quality artists covering numbers by Sting, Dire Straits, The Eagles and the like. All in all the For Sale Pub is well worth a visit and good value for money.”

- It looked so lovely, that as soon as we walked in we knew we would like it.
- It was closed on Sunday. It did look daunting from the outside during the day.
“We had a special birthday and this was the perfect way to end it. The food. atmosphere and service were wonderful and they made us feel very special. One of our best ever evenings.”

“Best atmosphere along VACI UTCA. Great coffee's and drinks. Wait staff friendly, but lack attention to guests and are slow and inattentive. Prices at Anna are outrageous.”

- Food is ok but not worth to accept the bad service!
- The worst service I ever had, arrogant waiters!
“The first time I was in Budapest is about 10 years ago. A friend showed me this restaurant and I really liked this style. Every time when I went to Budapest, I spent at least one evening there to think about those times. Yesterday I was there with a friend of mine and her old parents who never have been there before. Unfortunately these old people don't have lot and they wanted only a soup. My friend and I wanted to take the big fatal-wooden plate. When it was about to order I was told that I had to order a main menu for everybody or we had to leave the restaurant. They don't serve only a soup for an adult! We went away, for ever! It looks like times have changed and the polite people disappeared. I will not go there again and support this arrogant and grabby people. If you like to be a fooled tourist, enjoy your time there!”
