  • Very small patio, if you are dining outside.

“El Meson del Bandlero in San Pedro de Alcantara is well worth a visit. The quality of food, service and ambiance is outstanding and quite a step up from one would expect from the surrounding area. I enjoyed lamb in food and, a serving of about twice the size. Perfectly cooked and well presented.”

  • Not much English - see the chalk board menu by the plaza tables.

“Our hotel concierge recommended Bar Europa to us. It is a little hard to find, but worth the search. They had a menu in English on a chalk board by their tables on the plaza. We had a wonderful thick tomato soup and a beet soup, but the best dishes were the hamburgers served with caramelized onion and a Roquefort sauce and their granny apple with goat cheese topped with a balsamic vinegar reduction. We liked this place so much we came back another evening.”

  • A little off the main street, but findable.

“Our dinner here was outstanding - better than the restaurant in the 5 star hotel. Service was welcoming and gracious, the decor was attractive (unlike the shabby interior at the hotel) and there was no attempt to steer to an early dinner hour as the fancier restaurants did.”
