• The fried chicken and pork chops are traditional Southern fare, and good vegetables.
• Sometimes just a little too crowded for comfort, during lunch rush.

“I have eaten here many times over the years, and contrary to the racist comments above about Asian ownership, the food, service, and facilities remain as good as before. Some of the cooking is even superior as the American chef has added a few new dishes to the old reliables. Home-cooked country fare, simple but clean decor, and they're only open for lunch (and sometimes breakfast). The service is warm, friendly, and efficient, even during the busy lunch rush. ”

• Got refills when we asked for them.
• Staff uncaring, never got our food we ordered, we left and paid for appetizer.

“Staff is rude. Food has been okay in the past, but not worth the rude staff. Manager could care less. They do not have good reviews. Check out other places on Tybi, save your time and money. We went June 18th 2009 and never received our food. We watched several tables come in after us, get their food eat it and leave. We never got any explanation from the waitress or manager. We were not rude or loud and our kids were polite. Spanky's does not want families to spend their money there. They could care less about us or the lack of service. I've got complaints from my friends about Spanky's and I never believed them until now. Too bad I stuck up for them, and tried to tell my friends to give them another chance. I wish I hadn't, because I was wrong. We will be finding a new spot to eat at after a day at the beach.”

• Easy exit from drive through.

“Be careful when ordering from the sweet deals menu at this restaurant! They will charge you the regular, full, price unless you tell them you want the sweet deal. I gave them the sweet deal of never going back!”

• Very neat side items and sandwiches.
• Lack of people skills and dignity shown to employees.

“Food here was terrific! Very eclectic style menu with varying sides daily. However, the owner was seen being excessively rude and overbearing to his staff. Constant yelling from inside the food window with many despairing looks towards the waitresses. Conversations between the owner and employees were overheard with much obscenity and rude demands being given. Can't believe somebody would treat another human being like this.”
