“My recommendation is not to go there. My wife and I went for dinner there on 07/17/08. The staff was inattentive. The food was mediocre and relatively expensive. There were flies over our heads. Thankfully, they did not land on us or on our food but I cringe to think there were able to go to the open food preparation areas. The milk chocolate I ordered came as a glass of regular milk with a glob of chocolate syrup on the bottom, not even stirred. The men's bathroom was dirty and needed repairs and upgrades. I have not been to Waterbury in years (used to live there for 12 years until 10 years ago). I thought that, with the demise of the former Betsy Ross Diner (where I once saw a roach coming from under my son's dish), things had improved. They haven't. Athenian Diner IV gives a bad reputation to Waterbury and to the other Athenian Diners in Connecticut.”
