• Food, friends and spirits!

“Every summer I have to go to my favorite place in Maine, it is unique, creative and one of a kind. It's the Chowder House, a family owned company for 30 years. Whether having cocktails overlooking the harbor with the setting sun or enjoying a cup of chowder before kayaking, there is no other place like it!”

“ This past summer was our first visit to Boothbay harbor but certainly won't be our last. We absolutely loved the chowder house. The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the boat bar is greatest idea I¿ve seen. I recommend this place to anyone who will be going even close to Maine.”

• The owners are always on site to ensure good service.
• How can you find something wrong with perfection!

“To relax at the boat bar and enjoy the sun at the edge of the harbor makes my summer complete. The salmon chowder is to die for! I own all of the cookbooks that have included the famous chowder house recipes--especially the toll house squares! And it's always fun to run into a celebrity.”

• Food was mediocre.
• Bad service.

“Over the summer my family and I traveled to the Maine coast. The service at the restaurant was terrible. The bartender was on her phone the entire time and seemed annoyed that we were there. She put the "dumb" in dumb blonde. ”
