• Shrimp sauce and dragon roll.
• It's across town!

“This is by far the best sushi I have ever eaten. I have tried several around Jax, Jax Beach and Orange Park and I always come back to this one. The service has always been friendly and it never take long to get the food. This is the only place I have found shrimp sauce at.”

• Great food, nice portions, reasonable prices.
• Some waitresses a little weak on English.

“I've been going to this restaurant for a good 12 years I can remember and have found that it is the best and most consistent Japanese restaurant in Jacksonville. Just a side note they have the BEST shrimp sauce I've ever had (and believe me, I've tried many from other restaurants.) I keep asking them how they make it but of course I do it in jest because I know it's a recipe secret. One day they'll break and tell me. Anyways, I know it's a trend now and I've seen a lot of new Japanese restaurants come and go, but the fact that Sakura's been in business so long tells me their doing something right.”

• The shrimp at the hibachi grill are excellent.
• The service, the wait, the atmosphere, the decay of a one-great place.

“In my opinion, the quality of this restaurant has declined greatly. I used to recommend it, but lately I've noticed it is in sad need of repair. The last time I went in, I sat at the sushi bar (right in front of the glass) and after 45 minutes, I still had no drinks, and had yet to even speak to a wait person. I got up and left, and I don't think anyone noticed I was gone. What a disappointment. I am glad to have all of the OTHER sushi and hibachi restaurants around, because I have somewhere else to go. That's a shame. My first date with my husband was there, and it's not somewhere we would return to, due to the decline.”

• Sushi chefs in the sushi bar area are HILARIOUS. They don't have to talk to you but they usually do and they are very amiable.
• There is one male server there who looks and acts completely clueless every time we go. I'm assuming this is his first serving job? He's been there for a while though. I don't like when he waits on us.

“I've been to allot of sushi places in Jacksonville and I like this place the best. If you love saucy sushi you got to try the dragon roll. Best thing they make. Hibachi grill chefs are very funny and eager to please. Great place for a date or for a birthday celebration. Separate sushi bar for those who don't want to sit at the hibachi tables. Some of the servers are a little clueless and look out of place but you can't beat the food. I recommend it to all my friends.”

• Close to my home.
• Dirty, insects, basic English not with the servers, terrible experience!

“PITIFUL, we sat in the sushi bar area and very quickly we were overrun by ants. The waitress could not understand the most basic English, I'm patient but when the word 'vegetable' can't be understood that's awful The sushi was mediocre at best and the cleanliness of the place was bad. This might be a minor point but all the pictures on the walls were crooked, if the food was good that can be overlooked but overall it was a terrible experience that I will not do again.”
