“Alaska is just awful; everything from the service to the food that they all Japanese's My wife is Japanese and was offended by the fact that the staff pretends to be but is not. The food pretends to be and also is not. ”

  • Same ol' same ol'.

“Akasaka is a Japanese styled restaurant run by and for people who have little knowledge of true Japanese cuisine. The menu here has not changed in over a decade because this restaurant neither has the ability nor imagination to be able to do it. Epicureans stay away. This restaurant is for old old folk who are into the same ol' scratchy music.”

  • Freshest offerings in 100 miles.
  • Ambiance could be a bit more romantic.

“Always friendly, this quaint and subtle Japanese gem is a favorite for those locals in the know. Upon being seated, one is first met with a smile immediately followed by a moist warm towel That seems to magically wipe away even the most tenacious fatigue. Although the menu has not been updated in at least 10 years it is forever relevant, replete with Japanese classics as well as quite a few house specialties. My wife and I, being suckers for a good make have several favorites as we forsake all other area Japanese restaurants for our all time choice. First timers can lose their sashimi virginity with ease as the staff are patient and eager to educate. ”
