• Excellent food  fabulous service.
• Make the place look a bit fresher. Spruce up a lot.

“My daughter just happened by while on a visit to University of North Carolina/Pembroke. The food was more than excellent. Fresh - my daughter being the Alaskan king crab leg connoisseur said they were the best she had ever had. Now we live in the Washington, D.C. area, where fine dining is a pleasure and she has had her share. My meal was wonderful as well; hot fresh and very tasty. The service was fantastic - good old fashion southern hospitality was at it's finest. The only comment for improvement I would say is to spruce the place up a bit - replace the carpet or perform a super-duper cleaning on the carpet - perhaps place some very large area rugs to cover up. Something on a personal level I like when dining is the feeling of spick and span cleanliness - you do not get that at Calabash West; however, there is always room for improvement and I will be dining there again since my daughter will be attending University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
