“The food was excellent and our waitress was good, it was not busy so waiting for food was not an issue. Everything is priced a la carte through. Beware because the hostess was snobby and rude! She ignored us when we first came to be seated. By Annapolis standards I would say that our group was all dressed "nice," but judging by the other clientele, you must be 60 or older and be wearing at least a button down with a sweater over top even when it is warm outside to not be treated poorly (at least half of them). We sat in the bar area and were stared at throughout our meal by the hostess. For having reasonable prices for entrees, they certainly have a high opinion of themselves. Even though the food was good, I doubt that I will return given the way that we were treated. .” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 26, 2007 by

“While visiting my daughter with my mom and sister, we had a change of plans and called Marias to see if we could get a reservation. In late July on a Saturday, we weren't sure. We were lucky enough to get a reservation and happy to find out they had valet service as my mom has some difficulty walking and parking is tight. Our dinners were wonderful and the service was great. The lobster pasta was a real treat and the salads were delicious. We left the restaurant to take a short cruise and returned to find out if we could sit outside to have a drink. At first they said we would have to order food, but we told them we had dinner just a couple of hours earlier and they said it was ok. It was wonderful to sit outside, sipping a martini on a beautiful summer night watching people. We had a marvelous night and my husband and I are returning in a few weeks to celebrate our daughter's birthday and we can't wait!” Apr 8, 2007 by

“Very disappointing! Chose Maria¿s based on recommendation of an acquaintance and reviews (although all were not positive); didn't care that it is pricey, just wanted great food for an anniversary dinner. Our service was poor - he seemed a bit aloof, didn't tell us the specials of the day (after dinner we noticed the sign in the window), didn't offer a wine list until we asked, then brought the wrong kind. The menu is al a carte so everything (soup, salad, entrees) are priced separately. We ordered the spinach salad for two which was about $13.00. It was plain baby spinach dumped on a plate with about two tablespoons of crumbled bacon and mushrooms in the center - very little dressing - we asked for some and was given a bottle of oil and wine vinegar. My entree, red snapper, was good. My husband, veal piccata, was tough and kind of a slimy texture on the outside. Each entree costs about $28.00. All in all - definitely not worth the effort - find some other Italian restaurant. Carrabba's which a chain beats Maria¿s on all levels is.” 0 of 2 people found this review helpful.Aug 15, 2006 by

“Definitely not family friendly. Rude, snobby management. Service poor. Food ok but not enough. Most of party left still hungry. ” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Restaurant Representatives:
