“I happened to be there on September 21, 2007 and the only reason that there was no refund or discount is because at least 90% of the meal had been eaten. The food is great, definitely the best around that area. It's better then most of the places I eat at in Orlando or Naples. I mean in general, not just for a Japanese restaurant. I do have to agree that the service is a bit slow. I'm assuming that's because they have 2 waitresses at most and they have to bus their own tables. The one waitress there, I believe argued with me about what I had order, either I misspoke or there was a misunderstanding, but still not the right thing to do. The chef had to tell her to stop arguing and fix my order. Maybe she's new to waiting tables. Overall I had a great time and would go back for sure.” Feb 27, 2008 by

“No service problems. The sushi is likely the best in town compared to Sauk and publics in store sushi guy... If you like fresh raw sushi this is a good place. Their cooked sushi is also good. overall it seems very authentic.” Sep 21, 2007 by

“Went with out of town guests. Dinner took over an hour to be served. When miso soup was served, it was room temperature at best. We complained about it, and when the server picked up the soup she stuck her finger in it to see. (In retrospect we should have walked out at that point). She brought the same soup back after apparently micro waving it. When the meal arrived, the two women shared a plate of sashimi. Most they thought was good, but one was obviously bad. The server took the plate and the sushi chef refused to do anything to correct the problem, with his only statement being that nobody else complained about it. The server never brought back the other un-eaten parts and they refused to discount the meal in any way. The owner refused to even come to our table to discuss it. We agreed that we should pay for the good food, but not pay for the bad. The sushi chef called the sheriff's department to make us pay for the bad meal as well.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 2, 2007 by

“If you are looking for authentic Japanese food, including the absolute best sushi in Florida, animator is the place for you. The owner is Japanese and runs this restaurant with the attention to detail and the finest ingredients (many imported from Japan) that you would find in a restaurant in Osaka. Each dish is made to order, so do not expect "fast food" or "imitation" Japanese cuisine. Both the lunch menu and the dinner menu offer a variety of dishes not readily available in other Japanese restaurants.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Restaurant Representatives:
