• Good dinner service. Lots of families. Will go back.
• They need to start using real potatoes for their fries.

“I have eaten at bob's the last three times I have visited Ferndale in the past year. Been pleased with the overall experience. My friend is a vegetarian and likes it also. Their fries are remarkable unremarkable. Very hot and fresh and have absolutely no flavor. Rarely do I use catsup on fries. At bob's I do to get some taste. Burgers are great. Salads are very good, especially the shrimp salad. Potatoes skins taste real.”

• The burgers were large and tasty.
• The 'service' was anything but.

“My wife and I arrived at Bob's at about 11:15 AM, Friday Apr.14, 2006 - coupon in hand for half-off price of a second meal. We approached the area where one would normally expect someone to greet and offer choice of seating. Not a soul was in sight. We waited for a minute or two before we started to wonder in the establishment was open for business. I called out "Hello, anybody home?" which was met with continued silence. We then heard the sounds of three customers already seated in a far corner. We were about to leave when we were confronted with a young female employee, who appeared to have consumed a raw lemon after finding her pet had just died. She conveyed a feeling that we had inconvenienced her by our showing up, but she seated us anyway.

Shortly thereafter, a waitperson arrived to take our order. At this time, I presented to her our half-off coupon with our orders. In addition to our burger orders, I ordered a soft drink and my wife ordered a coffee with a side order of a few ice cubes in a separate container. The food order arrived in timely fashion but as we waited, no ice cubes arrived. My wife scooped a couple of ice cubes from my soft drink to cool her coffee.

As soon as our meal had been consumed, we noted that my wife had not been offered a single coffee refill and no ice had arrived. Then the bill was presented. I immediately noticed that we had not been given credit for the half-off coupon. My wife called this to the waitperson's attention and a second, amended bill was tendered. Needless to say, we left no gratuity, as the service, as a whole, was abysmal. We have no intention of returning.”
