“First of all it's a Bar or Pub. I travel a lot for work and let me tell you that on previous reviews I'm amazed. Parkside has great food and sometimes better service. I've never been miss treated and It's one of my favorite places. If you want to impress a client bring them to a nice place not a Pub. SWEET JESUS! What where you thinking. Tell those people to stay in there uptight towns they came from and you can follow buddy. Huntley is laid back so assume the same for it restaurants. Although small this place is great if you take it for what it is. You want romantic go to Biaggi's or something. You want good food and cold beverages go to Parkside. A place where they don't hold your hand when you eat! GO PARKSIDE!”

• The rudest service I ever experienced!

“For several years I have been trying to get my best client to come to the friendly town of Huntley. They finally came on Memorial Day for which I promised them a great, friendly small town parade, followed by introductions to the local establishments with the promise of great food and friendly people. We went to the parade, the local American Legion, which served up a great free lunch and decent priced drinks and tons of very. very friendly people. We then went across the street to the infamous 'Park side Pub' which is well known for it's Turkey Testical Festival. I had sent them tee shirts from the event for the last three years. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the rudest person - not just the rudest bartender, but the rudest person that I have ever experienced in a food establishment Her name was Carla and it amazes me that she can make any money with her type of attitude and behavior. The minute we walked in she literally, and I mean literally screamed at us that the kitchen was closed so "don't even think about ordering food". We were then informed that the bar was only open for another 45 minutes and that we had to "drink and get out". 20 minutes after our first cocktail, we were very rudely informed that we could not get another drink. My guests were so insulted that they wanted to go back and ask her for their tip back. 5 minutes after being denied another drink, we were told to leave. I have never encountered such rude service and I am so embarrassed to have brought my clients there!! I will never set foot in that establishment again, even though I LIVE in Huntley!! My clients won't either. So if you want rude service with overpriced drinks, go to the Park side!!”
