• Location was beautiful
• Service, portion size and selection was not good.

“I went to a wedding here. I think the place got a lot of money out of the bride and groom and gave them little food and horrible service in return. They do not have the staff to accommodate large functions and so the result is cooking less food at a snails pace. The guests spent the bulk of the night waiting for food instead of dancing. Half the wedding waiting nearly two hours in their chairs for the first course while the other half ate. Again, the unlucky half was not served dinner until 11:30-a half an hour past when the time the wedding was supposed to be over. No one was offered coffee because they did not have any coffee or tea service. No air conditioning. Guests left hot and tired and disappointed.”

“Cannot say enough about this wonderful one-of-a-kind restaurant. It is not like anything you've ever experienced before -- nor likely to ever experience. Locanda Cavallo is a fabulous hostess/chef/owner. There is no menu, Locanda makes what she wants to make and you are likely to enjoy each and every one of her selections. When we lived in pa, this was a special spot and one worth the trip this year to celebrate my birthday with friends from pa and ma. When my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, I said, "let's invite everyone to join us at Cavallo's". Plan to spend lots of time, and enjoy all there is to see between courses. Business travelers would enjoy this restaurant for a larger gathering with plenty of time on their hands, but probably not if you're looking for a quick dinner after a long day at work. ”
