• Incredible food.
• Slow season = slow or half staff service.

“I love this place, I heard about it from my Dad and I have been going there ever since. This place is like going to somebody's home to have dinner but with the atmosphere of a true japanese steak house. They have the best scallop sushi I have ever had and their main coarse food just melts in your mouth.”

• The amount of food and the prices. Keep up the good work.

“We found this little Japanese rest. And love it. The food was great and the serves was great. By far this the best one I have ate at. And we have tried just about all of them. The prices here are great and reasonable. Some rest. Charge for the show and what the decor looks like. I would rather have good food and friendly people than have all the looks. We will be going back soon. The amount of food you get is wonderful and the prices are wonderful also. Glad we found this place.”

• Best dining secret in Tampa. Great food!
• Not as fancy decor as Kobe or Benihana, hard to find.

“We discovered this Japanese Restaurant via the web a few months ago and have been back 8 times since. My wife & 5yr old daughter have tried over 5 different Japanese Tepanyaki (cook in front of you) restaurants in the Tampa area since we moved here in January 2007, and have had others in other states previously, but we keep going back to this one because the food is excellent and prepared perfect each time. If you get in Tampa before 6pm there is an early bird special not on the menu which is Chicken, Steak & Shrimp for only $9.95. You get soup, salad, fried rice, sautéed veggies, noodles, shrimp, chicken, and steak. All for $9.95? Unbelievable. We always have leftovers. The chefs put on a good show as well. No shrimp tail flipping, but everything else you'd expect. The waitress service can be slow at times refilling drinks & such, but they have got much better recently. The atmosphere is ok, but not great. Benihana or Kobe is more themed. The location is hard to find as it is tucked behind an Arby's off of US 19. Bottom line is this is the best kept dining secret. Great food, lots of it, a show while you eat, and many food courses, and all at a Denny's price.”

“I can say nothing good about this restaurant. The place was not clean. We ordered a drink in a specialty glass, but the drink was served in an ordinary glass. They didn't mention being out when ordering. Food looked pretty but tasted terrible. Filet mignon was actually sirloin, tough and not tasty. Portions were very large, but we were only able to eat about 10% of the food because everything tasted unusually sweet. The chief was pleasant and personable, but the experience was not worth $91 for four people. This was the worst experience ever in a well know chain restaurant. I have eaten in TJSH restaurants in VA and CA and truly enjoyed those experiences.”

• The food is good and the chefs entertaining.
• Poor service lacks atmosphere, and its hot inside.

“The food is good and the cooks do a fairly good job entertaining the diners. However, the service was awful when we visited. We live locally so we have visited this restaurant several times before, but this was the worst ever. We had a one and a two yr. Old child with us and had to find a booster seat on our own for the youngest. When the waitress arrived 15 minutes later, she never brought another booster seat for us. We sat there another 20 minutes before the drinks arrived and then we never saw the waitress again until we left. The chef arrived at our table 5 minutes after the drinks. By the time the food was cooked, we all basically wanted to leave. The gentleman, who sat us at our table, was also the chef for the next table and cleared tables as well, as did our chef. I hope they washed their hands in-between their various duties. Our waitress came to the table several minutes after I asked for a check, but bearing boxes and drink refills for the table next to us and only then did we get asked if we would like drink refills or desert. As it was, I had to wave at her and then finally stand up at the table to signal her again we wanted a check; obviously, we were ready to leave. Be prepared to be hot. The a/c is minimal at best and the heat generated by the cooking makes it a bit uncomfortable inside.”

• Clean restaurant and delicious food.
• Some of the staff (a few) make it obvious they don't want to be there.

“The food is the tastiest ever! Most of the chefs are friendly. Excellent restaurant.”
