“I usually am not into Japanese or Chinese dining because from previous experience its better as a take out. Was visiting family in Melbourne and I have to say that the food was amazing, the chef, the service and the atmosphere was perfect. I definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good dinner and the prices were very fair.” Jan 16, 2009 by

“It is the choice restaurant to go to for celebration dinners. All the cooks try to make it a fun time for you to be there and every way you look you can see other tables having a great time. It might appear to be kind of spendy for the food, but you are actually getting approx. 2 meals per person. I can't eat a full plate of food from Makotos! Be prepared to take home lots of leftovers.” Feb 1, 2008 by

“I love to eat at Makotos. The only thing is that the building is to small. I think they should relocate to somewhere larger so the service is better. That is one of the main reasons we don't go there more than we do because of the service and it is a very long wait even with reservations. But the food is worth it.” May 31, 2007 by

“I am 32 years old and lived in Florida from 1982-1995 and went to Makotos on a weekly basis, even back when that were on US-1 inside the Ramada hotel. They moved because of a fire to their new location. During the time they were closed about a year. I felt I lost my best friend. I was giddy when they open back up. I live in New York now, and have since 1996 but I still have dreams about Makotos. They sell the Makotos salad dressing in some stores up there in NY and I am blown away about that. Every time I come back to visit Florida the first place I go when I get off the plane is Makotos. The best place to eat in the state of Florida. I wish they would open one in New York.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 25, 2007 by

“We waited almost 30 min for just a bartender, still no drink while waiting. Called to table, still no service for 20 minutes! Finally, a waiter and still 20 min for our first drink even water! Food was typical, a good meal, Except for the abundance of carrots. But the cheery on the cake, the men's room - total filth, just a mess, made me want to puke! As I had just eaten a meal there, and saw all the children as well. Never again!” 0 of 2 people found this review helpful.Sep 25, 2006 by

“Makoto's was a great experience, the food was wonderful, and the service was very good. We had reservations, and still waited for over an hour to be seated, that was the only downfall that I had with this restaurant.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 26, 2006 by

“If you are tired of "that same old' buffet"; you really owe it to yourself a trip to Makoto's! My wife and I found this restaurant by accident, but I'm sure glad we did. From the moment you sit down at the table and are given a hot towel to wash your hands- you are almost sure to have a good experience. Your meal will be cooked for you, right in front of you. Make sure you have room in the fridge for left-over. ” 4 of 6 people found this review helpful.Restaurant Representatives:
