• Food well prepared.
• Attitude of entire wait staff.

“An enjoyable evening was marred by a very flip waiter. When asked the proper way to eat an African dish he replied -do you want a wiseass answer or another kind. He was asked not to address me as dear (I am not 110 yrs old) he replied sugar britches must also be out. The wait staff seemed to feel guests in a half empty restaurant on a Saturday night were an inconvenience. Sarasota has an abundance of excellent restaurants. Do not waste time or money here. I know the four of us will not return.”

• Food, ambiance, the other people who like it, the owner.
• Service declines when they approach capacity.

“This is my favorite quality restaurant in Siesta Key, and one of my favorites in Sarasota. Dining can be indoor, or out. The South African flavor which emanates from the owner is an important influence on the menu, and all of the wines. The seafood dishes are terrific, and all I ever order. The restaurant is not inexpensive, and draws a wordily clientele who appreciate cultural differences. There is a nice buzz in the place when it is 40-80% of capacity, but as it nears 100% it starts to feel frantic, and the service declines. I would eat outside in nice weather, and there are heaters.”
