“Visited for lunch. My wife and I both ordered Cheeseburgers. My salad had brown lettuce that I picked around. My wife ate half of her order which she said was lousy. Then the waitress comes over and asks if we are interested in dessert. Hello, I haven't even had lunch! Never going back.”

• I liked the way the owner yells at his wait staff.
• The cooks take smoke breaks in the driveway, do they wash their hands after, probably not.

• Wish it was a larger place.

• Small lounge and dining room.

“A great place to go in North Conway. I have been going to Hooligans for about the past 12 years every time that I am in the valley, which is about 10 times a year. Always fun local characters in the bar with great stories, Joann and Kim are arguably two of the best bartenders is the valley and have been at Hooligans for way longer that I have been going there. While the menu is not extensive, my dining partners and I have never had a bad meal there. The mixed grill, roast duck and the Hooligans steak are always great choices off of the menu. I am very particular about ordering steak when I am out but the Hooligans steak is a must, a nice thick 12 oz steak with no waste to speak of and rolled in Montreal seasoning. And to top it all off it is now a non-smoking establishment. While there are a lot of great restaurants in Mt. Washington Valley, Hooligans is right near the top of the list whether you are dining with family or dining in the lounge you won't be sorry.”

• food, food, drinks, relaxed atmosphere, locals, excellent waitstaff

“Wow, always one of the two top meals in North Conway, does absolutely no advertising, cause it doesnt have too! the food is excellent, service awesome and the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing with a large amount of local clientele, be prepared for a wait on a busy night, as this is a very small place seating Maybe 30 in the bar, and 75 or so in the dining room, but it is soooo worth the wait!!”
