“You tell me! I cant believe this place. The light fixture almost hit me in the head, and my BKF meal was not that good.”

• Usually good food; nice surroundings.
• Poor, amateur service; confusion as to what they have to offer.

“After three attempts, I am finally giving up on Gustavo's. I am unable to understand why it is considered a good restaurant. Other than the food, which is good for the most part, it struck me as a disaster. Inexperienced and unknowing waiters, confusion about what was available on the wine list, something that was billed as butter with the bread which was clearly not, lack of sufficient lighting to even read the menu, overall a disaster. My veal parmegana was burned, had only a dab of sauce. They didn't know what was on the wine list, didn't know what beers they stocked, and generally seemed to be unable to cope with the situation. Unfortunately, I was sent to this restaurant by my credit card company as they give extra credit for air miles with purchases. It isn't worth it; too many acceptable alternatives. It is a shame, but the need to do something more that make some of their dishes properly.”

• Wait service was good.
• Owner was insulting, meal was poor quality.

“Went there on Sept 8th and had veal plicate that was unflavorful and just overall poor quality. I was dining with several other people, one who had veal parmesan, which she thought the veal was very tough. We complained, as this restaurant is not cheap. The owner came out personally to tell us we were wrong in our assessments of the veal. He offered no apologies, no alternate meal, only a real bad attitude. We have ate there before and experienced good food and service. The tartufo dessert, for example is the best I've ever had (ate during a previous visit). The arancini is delicious too. After this experience of poor food and a real bad attitude; however, we will never return. To be fair, the wait service was very good, and she did offer apologies, but that's just not enough. It's just ashamed the owner was so short-sighted and insulting.”
