• Delicious home cooking, large portions & cheap! Friendly & welcoming.

“Mary Lou's is an experience. Stepping in there is like going back in time. The food is incredibly good down home cooking, with large portions at great prices. It is not for those looking for upscale decor as its really more like going to eat in Grandma's kitchen. Along with some tables it has a counter to sit at and eat while you watch them fix your food. This is a family run business and when you go there, they get to know you and treat you like family. The letters, pictures, and articles on the walls say it all. They have been around forever and I think they must've kept many a college student from starvation and homesickness. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. At lunch time they have all the grill food plus plate lunch specials, which are an outrageous amount of great food for the price. But what can't be missed is breakfast and the biscuits and gravy. Order breakfast, and these actually come with it as an appetizer. So you can eat these heavenly little things while waiting for your eggs to cook. Come before they run out, because when the biscuits and gravy are gone for a day, they're gone! The best food, best service, and best prices for what you get. Pure comfort.”
