“I have gone here for years. I love the atmosphere, food, and service. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. The food is wonderful! You can bet you will live fully and happily.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 1, 2007 by

“It's a house, and there is steak but there isn't anything Japanese about it! Made the mistake of going there with my Japanese wife expecting to have some good authentic food. I knew we were in for trouble when what we thought would be miso soup was actually super salty chicken noodle soup. It just went downhill from there. Salad was a bowl of lettuce with one sad looking mushroom on top. All of the seafood was definitely frozen and of low quality, and the crab that came with my wife's crab and scallop dinner turned out to be imitation crab. That was a low blow. And what the heck was that golden tasteless sauce they kept trying to pour on everything? Smokey, loud, mildly entertaining but most assuredly not good and not Japanese in any way shape or form! Save your cash and skip this Benihana knock-off or just go to Benihana instead if you need flying shrimp with your not-Japanese stir-fry, at least their food tastes a little better.” Dec 27, 2005 by

“We travel from Iowa every year just to experience Gojo's. Our kids love the entertainment, the food is terrific and affordable, and it is a totally fun experience. Sitting at a table with other people we didn't know was intimidating at first, but it is all part of the experience. ” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jun 6, 2005 by

“While Gojo's does have very good food and the chef's are quite entertaining, the service leaves much to be desired. I went for my sister's bachlorette party and we had called to confirm the reservation twice after our initial call. When we arrived we were split into 2 groups of 8 and sent to seperate corners of the restaurant after being assured on the phone that we would be together. Although there were 2 empty tables facing each other where one of our parties were sent, the servers and the hosts were unwilling to seat us together. Because the food is well prepared this restaurant might be fine if you have a couple of people willing to share a table with strangers but it is not family friendly.” 8 of 9 people found this review helpful.Restaurant Representatives:
