• Appetizers and food were superb!
• Waitress had unacceptable behavior!

“We were the only customers in the place and we sat our children down, no one acknowledged our presence, we made our way to the counter and the lady never acknowledged us. We asked for a recommendation and the lady offered no answer. We placed our order and snacked on their complimentary beans and hush puppies (great), the food came in a timely manner and proved to be delicious, from the burger to the chicken fried steak, the food was superb. The lady who took our order had many other locations to smoke, from the back porch to the smoking section, but instead chose to smoke directly besides our booth, and we were not sitting in the smoking section and we had 4 children with us. Very rude! A single disgruntled worker ruined what could have been a great restaurant experience!”

• The food is great and I can always depend on good service. You can also eat outside under a covered patio.
• They have an open smoking area as opposed to closed or nonsmoking areas in Long view, TX.

“The Back Porch is a comfortable restaurant with a rustic appeal. They serve such cuisine as hamburgers, chicken-fried steak, Frito pie and many other home-cooked meals. The restaurant is set in a small college town and is very family friendly. ”
