“Gino's should be great, they are pretty much the only home-grown, non-chain Italian restaurant in town. The good is good, not brilliant. They crabmeat pasta appetizer is great, but very rich. The veal they serve is tender, but not the best baby veal I¿ve eaten by far. Anarchy is excellent. My rub with gin¿s is that they are trying to flip the tables example: visit 1 walked in and heard the owner yelling at the waiters to rush the early dinners¿ get them out" this is when I walked in with a 6:30 reservation (feel the love) visit 2 - we were asked 3 times before out cocktails arrived to place our order. I had placed part of my appetizer to the side, because I was afraid that my meal would come out before I could finish it (as happened) -- the bus boy tried to take this plate 4 times while I was eating, and finally asked "when was I going to give it up?" visit 3 - the table next to me was waiting for 2 of it's 4 numbers for about 5 minutes -- the waiter came twice and asked if they wanted to place their order and not wait on the other folks. On every visit -- our appetizers came out whenever they were ready, nothing was served together. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 30, 2006 by

“Poor, inattentive service and food that is mundane at best. Don't waste your money here. This city has many great restaurants, and this one is an expensive.” 0 of 2 people found this review helpful.Mar 31, 2006 by

“The waiter asked if anyone would like bread. I stated that I would like some. He brought out three bowls full of bread and replaced them a couple of times. He never said there would be a charge for the bread. When the bill came there was a $50 dollar charge for bread.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Jan 2, 2006 by

“If you want to run into some of the movers and shakers or Louisiana politics, then take a trip to this old Red Stick favorite. They claim that Moma still cooks here and you can tell. It does take a little longer to get your food but the wait is worth it. It is a little dark inside but that just makes it more romantic. You will get caught gawking as the political celebs come rolling in, especially when the legislature is in session.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Restaurant Representatives:
