• Soft shell crabs are always great.
• Our server added their own tip to our charge card without our approval.

“I have been going to Frans for many years. Food is always good, as is the service. Recently, our server decided to add an additional 20% tip to our charge card even though we crossed out the tip on the charge slip and gave him a 20% tip in cash. Worst yet, when we called restaurant back, they said it was their policy to add 20% to each charge. I was there one week earlier, used a charge card, and the server did no such thing. So diners beware, Frans thinks it's ok to steal money from you by adding it to your charge card. And Fran OBriens, looks like you won't be seeing my charge card any longer.”

• Food is just right and I grew up in Maryland, so I know fresh fish and crab
• Price, not very romantic or private atmosphere.

“Food is excellent, and prepared perfectly. Thus for a late lunch we spent about $31 (after the coupon) and that is just for water, entree, and salad or soup. So it would have been about $50 for a light lunch for two. Atmosphere is not really anything special, but fine, long room with bar and booths, some tables in the front, and possibly in the back. ”
