“I was in Dubuque for a wedding and we ate at the Olive Garden across from the Fairfield Inn on Dodge St. The minute we walked in the atmosphere changed. We did get seated quickly, but it took the waiters forever to get to us and they weren't very friendly. I am used to the hostess saying something friendly like "thanks for coming" or "come again". There were at least 5 people at the hostess stand and they just looked at us as we walked out, very unfriendly. Only good thing about this experience is the food. I can say the Olive Garden in my neighborhood is very friendly and make you feel at home.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Apr 5, 2006 by

“Olive Garden advertises that when "you are there you are like family." Their family must be awful because when I was there I was seated and ignored for 10 minutes. I debated trying to see just how long they'd ignore me but instead walked out. (FYI, I was dressed business casual as I was traveling on business, am middle aged, clean cut looking) Even when I walked out, the 3 young women watching the front were oblivious and never even asked me how my meal was.
