• The lamb, the fillet mignon, the wine selection, romantic ambience.
• Nothing really. The bread could have been nicer I guess.

“A nicely decorated restaurant, a talented pianist, a great wine selection (try the Au Bon Climate Pinot Noir if you like a peppery wine or the Sangiovese if you want something less bold but equally flavorful), and a rack of lamb that is simply wonderful. The fillet mignon is also very good...with this savory sauce on it that adds to the great flavor of the meat. The creme brulee is very good too. This is a great restaurant. The entire meal with wine cost me just over a hundred bucks for two people.”

• I liked the duck, any way they fix and serve it.
• They do not stock my favorite wine label, Louis Martini. Oh, well.

“This is a place where you do not "eat," you dine. It is cozy and comfortable, well-staffed with knowledgeable people, and the owner or chef is extremely friendly. We try to get up to Solvang several times a year, and we make Cabernet Bistro a MUST for dining for at least one evening in town.”
