  • I liked everything about it.
  • Nothing negative about it.

“Praise The Lord! I remember this restaurant from long ago when I traveled with my family The Hastys. I love this place and it has the best food anywhere. A wonderful place. The singing is wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Hope to see you there!”

  • Service prompt, premises clean.
  • The line out the door.

“For a girl from the big city, New Orleans, Buckner's was a shock to me at first. However, I have come to love this restaurant. The food, local southern fair (friend chicken, etc), is always plentiful and delicious. I especially like dining there on Saturday evening so we can hear the gospel music after dinner. If you are in the neighborhood or driving on the interstate and need a meal break, I highly recommend this local eatery.”

  • The food! The fried chicken!
  • Crowded, lines.

“I've traveled extensively and I've never had a better "down-home, country" meal than at Buckner's. I'm a really picky eater as well, but the food is great and I find myself eating more than I intended each time I go there. The fried chicken is fabulous and I love the stewed tomatoes. The food is served on a lazy Susan contraption. There's a wide selection of veggies and delicious meats. The dessert of choice is always peach cobbler, but it's good. I think that the prices are fair, around $11 for an adult, for buffet style dining. If you haven't visited this restaurant I do recommend that you try it at least once.”

  • Everything was great!
  • I got full to fast.

“They are a great family restaurant (Cindy and the entire bunch), hometown friendly and the service is always at your beck and call. The price is good/affordable. The food is excellent! It's hot and fresh on the table! If you need more, they keep in filled up till you can't eat anymore. The chicken, barbecue, tomatoes and all the vegetables are just out of this world and the peach cobbler it will just make you want more& more. I'll say this "it's like grandma's cooking! You'll always want to make a trip here time and time again. The staff will make you feel welcome anytime. This is a table spread for a king! Afterwards on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights you can enjoy good ole gospel singing and playing, next door to the restaurant at 7:00 p.m. With different groups each night. Bro. Ed Atkinson does such a great job with the music hall. This you will enjoy I know because Ive been there and enjoyed it so much. It's just off of I 75 at exit 201 north of Macon, GA. Give it a try.”

  • Good food, efficient staff and friendly.
  • Lack of decor, too stark white.

“My husband and I travel north each year and we schedule our trip so we can stop at Buckner's, both coming and going, to eat lunch or dinner. They aren't much on decor, but who cares, it's your stomach you need to fill, not your home decor. If you're hungry, this is the place to go, never have had a bad meal there. The peach cobbler is the best, along with the fried chicken, and beef stew and there tomatoes are out of this world. They make you hurt so good.”

  • Great down-home country cooking. Great staff.
  • They really need new chairs and some mood lighting!

“You will not find better fried chicken anywhere on the planet. In fact, all their food is just as delicious as the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle or even the Dillard House in Dillard, Ga. The price is a great value for all-you-can-eat heaven. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming and the dining room is very clean although the furnishings shout country hole-in-the-wall. It's not charming or romantic by any means, but you will not regret going! Just try not to eat for two or three days before you go so you'll be sure and have plenty of room in your tummy. It's not uncommon for us to be unable to fit into our cars afterward. I recommend this restaurant as highly as humanly possible.”
