• Food.
• Customer service.

“Customers picking up to go orders do not get the same service as those dining in. You call it in for a reason. The reason being you do not have time to sit down and eat. Waiting time is unreal for those picking up orders to go.”

“While customer service may be wonderful for customers dining in it is just the opposite for those picking up to go orders. I have tried picking up an order to go twice in the last few weeks. Never again. I feel that customers who do not have the extra time to sit and enjoy a meal should be treated just as important as those who only have a short amount of time to pick up their food and eat. I called in my order, which consisted of one plate and a tea, at 11:15 a.m. I arrived to pick it up at 11:30 a.m. The lobby was full of customers trying to pick their order up also. We were totally ignored from everyone there. One man had been waiting 45 minutes. At 12:05 I was able to flag down someone and ask about my order, which by the way I was taking to someone at work who eats at 12. She was not happy. She went to the back pulled my order and then began fixing it. I left the restaurant at 12:15, one hour later than when it was called in. I was not able to get the dinner to work on time. I realize you get no tips for to go orders but they are to go for a reason.”

• Superb fried chicken, sweet or unsweet tea, great friendly service.
• Smoking is allowed; choose your seat carefully.

“Turners offers authentic home-style Southern meals at a very affordable price. It has an efficient serving line and a good daily selection, along with a regular menu. The fried chicken is flawless; the sinful desserts would make your cardiologist cringe. Don't expect white tablecloths or mood lighting; you will be dining from a tray with a primarily proletarian crowd. Take-out is also available. Turners is 20 miles from me but well worth the drive. Bring your Yankee friends and make them try turnip greens and corn muffins with iced tea! Highly recommended, 5-stars. Turners is as good as 'Meat & Three' restaurants get!”
