Research User Reviews for Old Anglers Inn (1-1 of 1)

Dusty from Maryland
“The Old Angler's Inn in Potomac is beautifully located in a Washington DC suburb not far from the Great Falls in Maryland. It has a rather spacey outdoor patio shaded by old trees. This is about the only reason I would give it one point. I had decided to take my co-workers out for lunch for a job well done and made reservations for 12:30 P.M. for a table of six. When we arrived at 12:35 P.M. they had not even prepared the table, we had to wait for about 10 minutes. After sitting down it took about 20 minutes for us to get acknowledged by the wait staff and to even get menus. Another 30 minutes went by for anybody to take our order, and only because we asked several times for some attention. At about 1:45 p.m. we finally were served our salads only to find a live crawling insect in one of them. The wait staff shrugged the incident off and brought out another salad 10 minutes later. Needless to say everybody had lost their appetite by then. The manager/owner, who was present and had actually placed us at our table, didn't find it necessary to come over to our table to at least apologize. If there had been another restaurant close by, we would have left much earlier.” Restaurant Representatives:
