• The curry pineapple, Tom Yum Kai and sizzling seafood were impressive.
• Service, slow but when the food arrives, it's worth the wait.

“If you have some time to wait, go here for dinner. The service was very slow (which was understandable since there was only one waitress- family owned) but the food was wonderful. The Curry Pineapple and sizzling seafood were delicious not to the mention the Tom Yum Kai soup. The salad rolls you may want to pass on (the imitation crab was iffy). As I said, the service was slow but the waitress admitted this and was up front about it. Worth the wait.”

• Incredible taste.
• Wish they had a drink, diet and caffeine free.

“This is the best pizza I have ever had. I am 56 and have had a lot of pizza in different cities but this is the best I have ever eaten. You must try the Garlic Ranch sauce in place of the Red sauce, it is awesome. We got the Campissimo and olives and sausage, It is unbelievable. My daughter likes the calzone. Never gets anything else. What a burst of flavor in your mouth, not like the chain cardboard pizzas. 10 stars for Bortolami's.”

• The atmosphere is the only positive here.
• The staff is rude and the food was cold.

“When it first opened this was a great, fun place to eat. The last 3 times we've eaten there have been total disasters. Cold food, wrong orders and a manager who told us "I don't know what you want me to do about it". I wouldn't waste another penny on this place.”

“I have been there a few times and every visit was a pleasant experience. The servers were very friendly and outgoing. The food during happy hour can definitely keep one happy and was great considering how cheap it is from the happy hour menu.”

“Lovely view especially sitting outside during the summer and/or if it isn't windy. My dish was delicious the first time we ate there. Not a romantic restaurant due to loudness of the restaurant. Sound carries over the entire restaurant.”

• Good food, drinks and service.
• It isn't a fancy restaurant if that is what you are looking for.

“I have been going here for 10 years. The food is always good especially the steaks. Drinks are just as good. Service is good. It is a local place but good quality. Fairly priced for what you get. I was there two nights ago for a salad, New York steak and mashed potatoes. Had two Cadillac Margs was as good as ever. Quality is on par with Outback. I recommend it. Sounds like some other reviews were done by people that had no idea what to compare the food to and need something sparkly to look at to keep their mind occupied.”

• Atmosphere, food, seating, glare from windows to dark room. Like eating in a cave - YUK.

“I've heard about this place for sometime, and finally decided to try it. Well, looking at the texture of the meat, you knew that wasn't true, and the worst was that it tasted chemical. The walls all black/dark and there are peanut shells all over the floor, seats. Any where. Supposedly for "atmosphere". Well, that's so old. I've been to great places where they did that and provided so many funs, colorful, interesting things to look at along with a terrific music mix from Zeppelin to Beatles to Polkas to Hip-Hop. So fresh! But this place will never have that kind of charm or ambience. If the food was terrific it might help, but they totally fail there too. Don't bother. Maybe someone will buy this place and completely change it since we need something up in the north! One can only hope.”

“I have eaten at Joe's Crab shack in the past and loved it. However, the last couple of times I have eaten there I was not impressed. The food deep fried and greasy, they don't even have bay shrimp for your salad (this is a seafood restaurant right?). The wait person acted like he would rather be anywhere but there. The manager stopped by our table to see how everything was and didn't offer another glass of wine or another soft drink even though the glasses were empty. The background music was way to loud. I don't think we will be spending any more special events at this place.”

“Right when I got to the door I knew there had to be a mistake, but hey, can't judge a book by its cover, right? wrong, the food was horrible, the service was horrible, the atmosphere was horrible. The waitress who is also the bartender seemed more attentive to her hair and makeup than a customer, the food was very overpriced for what you get, a TV dinner would have been better, and the atmosphere well there isn't any this is a dirty run down bar on a street corner downtown.”

“What a joke of a place!! They are an overpriced bar which serves food. The food is not good, spend your well earned money somewhere else, but not here. The waitress is also a bar tender who pays more attention to her hair and makeup than a customer, unless you are male and a regular that is. The atmosphere is horrible too, worn out everything, and it smells bad. Learned two lessons, ask a local before you go somewhere.”

We go out to eat often and this place is not a good place for anyone who wants to stay well to go. You may luck out and not get sick, but we would never go back for anything!”

“This place had a great omelet menu, none better and homemade giant biscuits and a lot of home cooking like your mom or grandma would have made. Was not top of the line, but good tasting, hot and cooked to order. They had a breakfast cook, male, for years, which put out superb hash browns and omelets. Only thing, you did not want your family around to hear him. He had a terrible habit of really cursing all and everything. They closed and it is now home to Peachtree two, which needs good management and better cooks. On 4th plain.”

• Service, poor. Food worse. No refills if more than three or four of you on drinks, guess they think that it is too much bother.

“Their meats are tough and not cooked to your order and service is very slow. We have gone as a couple, poor service and one meal was o.k. and the other overcooked and tough as leather! Bread was very stale, we had soup which was watery and not good tasting and we sent that back. Next with a large ladies group for dinner, where we who had salads liked them, soup again was not good. Drinks were finally brought out and never refilled even after asking several times for refills, (soft drinks), dinners were not well cooked and a lot of women complained about the way their meal was cooked and meals were not brought out all at once, but over a period of about 15 minutes. A similar experience was had when we were there with out son and his girlfriend one evening and we had such bad food, we are not going back.”

• Prices, crummy and slow service always, bad food. Management looks at you like you have lost it, if you dare complain. Good luck if you choose Applebees.

“Save your money and go elsewhere. This is a place that believes noise, poor service, poorly prepared cold or burnt food is o.k. Way overpriced and it never improves. We have revisited Applebees occasionally when friends were determined to try it also. Most people at the table were not happy with the service, slow, or the food. That has included all ages from seniors to kids. The restaurant could be a winner, good location, cute building and fair amount of parking, but the management cares about the money only, which is going to go south real fast if they do not improve their service, food and drink service and the quality of their food. On last visit, our steaks arrived so burned up (ordered both medium); you could not even tell what kind they were. They were brought out 50 minutes after we ordered them. With them were a handful of cold fries and a small amount of barely cooked broccoli.”

• I do not have to eat there or spend my money in this ghetto grease pit.
• They still exist and make money.

“This McDonalds is a shining example of why one should avoid all McDonalds. They knowingly hire illegal aliens, and screw US citizens when their wage level gets too high. They will trump up and falsify accusations to fire a higher-paid manager, then fight the unemployment with this ill-willed venom. If you want to go to a fast-food restaurant, go across the street to Burger Ville, or Arby's, or KFC just down the street. Unless you need drugs, in which case you should catch one of the evening workers on break and just ask. They will be out back by the garbage corral, and will happily share their pot with you. If the boss sees them, they know they will not get in any trouble. If you think that this is just a sour-grapes rant, I will point out that I have never worked for this company. This is based on observation of the store and the people who work there, from the experiences of someone who lives close by and is familiar with some of it's idiosyncrasies. ”

Ballew's A Great Place To Eat & Drink

“This is a very candid little neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of Vancouver and nestled among similar independently-owned businesses. Ballew's appeals both to a hometown diner and more refined tastes. There is a little bit of a diner feel with comfortable booths and familiar wait staff, but can also cater to an upscale crowd thanks to the good food and clean standards. The menu is not extensive, but features a variety of dishes: from Happy Hour burgers starting at a dollar (add extras for more) and appetizers like quesadillas and 9-layer nachos (muy delicioso) to various pasta and cream sauce plates, steak and salmon. Ballew's also feature a variety of sandwiches: Rueben, French dip, and veggie are on the list. All the food is well cooked; it is hard to choose a favorite. What really sells Ballew's is the atmosphere. A person can tell the staff all gets along, and within the second visit you can be on a first-name basis with the servers and David Ballew himself. Sitting at the counter (Ballew's has a full bar: the local favorite is the lemon drop) can feel like Cheers reruns. The restaurant always shows great local artwork. ”

“I was disappointed in the atmosphere of Beaches. It was loud and not very organized. I didn't like how when you are seated you are walking by so close to other peoples food since the kitchen is right there. I did enjoy the service however. But then the food was not the best I have had for the prices we paid. I originally ordered the Greek Chicken meal, and was immediately disappointed with how dry and old it looked. The taste was even worse. I had to send that meal back and ordered a fillet to replace that. When that came out it was cooked wrong so I had to wait longer for my food. I was surprised that a restaurant with such high rating would be so disappointing. I was not the only one at our table with their food cooked wrong, jut the only one who sent it back. Overall, I didn't like the bread, salad, or the food. I did enjoy the service but probably will not return. ”

“Went there for dinner after a long day at work. We were sat at a table right away but had to wait and wait for our server. We could see they were not busy and did not understand why such the wait. He had steak and I had the special (shrimp) dinners which both came with salads. Waited and waited and to flag down server to ask for our salads. She said oh sorry I forgot. We got them just as we got our food. She never refilled our water it was empty. Would not go back.”

• Flavor of my chicken dish was good.
• Asked for tea - arrived late & was only water. She forgot the tea bag! Small portion even when I asked & paid for extra side of rice.

“The tea I ordered never came until I asked for it again when the meal arrived, then when I poured it - it was only hot water - she'd forgotten to put the tea bag in! I ordered an extra side of rice for my daughter so I could have my own serving with my chicken dish - 1 very space container of rice arrived with the meal - when I questioned where the extra "side" was she said it was incorporated into the dish - where I wondered? Portion size of chicken dish for 95 was very small, laid upon a fluffy bed of lettuce probably in hopes of making the portion size look bigger - gimmick didn't work.”

• Cold food and not cooked as requested. No reaction from staff when told of problems.

“I had dinner at the Outback tonight with a friend. It was not acceptable. I had to send the soup back because it was cold; I ordered the house steak special (9 oz.) and ordered it medium well and specifically told the waitress to be sure it does not bleed upon cutting. Well, that was useless, it came back medium rare. My friend ordered a baked potato, it was cold. Needless to say, we will not be going back any time soon. I need to forget this awful experience before I spend $20 on cold food!”

• The friendly, romantic atmosphere.
• I can't think of a thing!

“I have been to this restaurant twice and cannot wait until I go again. The business is owned by a friendly, elderly couple and their son is a waiter there. The food quality is EXTREMELY high; I have been delighted with every dish my friends and I have tried. If you have a significant other and go as a couple, you will fall more deeply in love than you already are. When my fiance and I danced to the keyboardist's music there, they dimmed the lights for us. You can request songs if you want to. Call ahead to find out which night the belly dancer comes in if you would like to watch her artistic abilities. If you plan to stay at this restaurant for a short time, you won't be able to stop yourself from lingering.”

“One word for this place - NAUSEATING! I had no idea Thai food could be this bland. The red curry was lumpy and completely devoid of the usual delectable Thai flavors from lime to fish sauce, even sugar. The chicken was tough, and the few vegetables consisted of canned bamboo shoots and a few pieces of bell pepper. I ordered mine hot but had to slather it myself with chili. My server noticed I didn't eat it but instead of inquiring the obvious asked if I wanted a box. You'd do better at home with a can opener.”

• You really won't come here for the ambiance.

“This is a place for good Thai food. Forget the ambiance, it doesn't really have any. If you're looking for an exotic Thai setting, look elsewhere. If you want good Thai and don't care about restaurant appearance or dazzling servitors, come here. Enjoy the great food.”

• Food, service, and cost would necessitate never coming to this Chinese restaurant.

“The Dragon King (named after wife of owner) gave us the wrong pick-up order. The woman yelled and lied when confronted about the mishap explaining it was our fault we should have known what the cost of the correct order was (even though it was not give to us over the phone). She did explain that we could have our money back because of this mistake (after 15 minutes of yelling and calling me a liar) and when I arrived the next day to get the money she changed the story once again and said we are not giving you any money (while yelling at me in front of 10 plus customers). We have been here many times and since we were only out $12 it was not worth the embarrassment since she embarrassed herself with her child-like behavior. Go across the street to Canton Chinese Buffet if you want good quality Chinese food at good prices. There are way too many options for Chinese food in Clark County than to "settle" on this place. ”

• generous portions, tasty food, cheap
• decor, Air conditioning isn't the best.

“this is a small restaurant on hwy 99 that provides good food at an affordable price. The tables are U shaped with a grill in the center and the chef sautees your food right in front of you like the more well known and fancier restaurant Beni hana's. The chefs don't have many tricks, but are nice, friendly and the food is generous and tasty. the decor could use updating, however at 6-7 dollars you can't really complain. A great lunch spot.”
