Feb 5, 2009 by Candie from Lacey

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Large portions of tasty food served by lovely folks!
  • The building is old, but still clean and warm!

“My family has been going to ACE BBQ for seven years. The service is always exceptional! The food is always great! We are always welcomed like family. When we take guests for dinner this is where we always go. They serve both Korean and American BBQ and offer a small selection of beers. Large portions of great food. What more can one ask for.”

Le Voyeur
Feb 25, 2008 by nad from Olympia

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[6] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[4]

  • Good selection of drinks, reasonably priced.
  • Employees. I think they are angry at life and will take it out on customers.

“Food is not too bad, but the service is terrible. The employees are extremely rude and nasty- and not just one particular one, but all of them. Not sure how they stay in business.”

Gardners Seafood & Pasta
Feb 9, 2008 by steve from oly

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Wonderful atmosphere, staff and food.
  • Squeaky door, music too soft.

“I found Gardner's to be a very delightful experience. cute place, easy parking, very friendly staff, good music although not loud enough, local wine list, the steak was recommended and it was better than I had expected, the flavor of the meat and sauces used go together perfectly truly the best steak Ive had (surprised by that because they are a seafood place?) that makes me want to go back and try the seafood! They told me the desserts are made in house and they were amazing I had a pecan mousse torte; the prices were more than fair considering that it is not an Alla Cart menu! I've spent more on less at the Outback! Thank you Gardners for a wonderful dinner.”

Oblarneys Irish Pub
Dec 18, 2007 by Justin from Olympia

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[4] • Atmosphere:[6]

  • Beer is good.
  • Piss poor food not even quality.

“I ate at blarneys on the weekend of my brother returning from Iraq figured what better place to get a burger and a beer. Least of all a budget the beer was good an the pool tables are fun but the food was Nasty, id think they could spend money on better food an less TVs or maybe just better food. Or shut down the kitchen a just serve beer thats a thought. So I would never recommend anyone to eat at blarneys. Only drink.”

Gardners Seafood & Pasta
Aug 24, 2007 by Anna from Olympia

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Very friendly and courteous, warm atmosphere and people.
  • A few international wines on the list would be nice.

“The salmon with fresh berry butter is absolutely exquisite. We tried it with fresh strawberries, apricots and now it comes with Marion berry butter. We have never been disappointed in all the years we have come here. What an excellent tribute and go to place for seafood lovers visiting Olympia. A block away from the boardwalk and downtown.”

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Romantic, small, quiet.
  • Limited seating, reservations needed on weekends.

“This place knocked our socks off! My wife and I had stuffed mushroom appetizer, she had the seafood pasta, I had the steak. Mine came with pasta, veggie, and a salad, along with a roll. Nice wine selection. We shared a desert with good local coffee. Great service, great value, and is our "regular" spot in Olympia. Try the fresh fish, it looked great too!”

Budd Bay Cafe
Mar 18, 2006 by Kathy from England - now Olympia

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[8] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • The sea-food was excellent, fresh and well prepared.
  • The deserts were a little ordinary.

“When we bought our house here recently, we asked our realtor for a restaurant for our celebration. She sent us to Budd Bay Cafe. It's on the wharf, very romantic, murals on the wall (sea-faring) and a nice view. The staff are friendly, the food fresh, a pretty decent wine list, and good service. A typical seafood menu, with some nice surprises - the yellow fin in wasabi cream and reduced soy sauce for our starter was wonderful! The duck was really tasty, as was the steak and lobster combo. A varied menu which would please everyone. I have taken every guest to Budd Bay, including my one year old grandson and we have been treated well, and everyone has enjoyed the food. Not overly sophisticated, very family friendly, an excellent menu, well prepared and served. ”
