“I love to go to Achilles, It feels like home! Great food. The owner is very friendly. The address has changed though. It's been at 1111 Eldridge Parkway for a long time.”

“I've spent quite a bit of time in Italy and this restaurant is as close as it comes to really authentic Italian food. The costs are a little higher than most restaurants, but definitely worth it. The food is extremely flavorful! The bread bowl served to every table is very nice (the little Bow-Ties are my favorite). The service is very friendly but proper. The patio is awesome on a beautiful day or nice evening. Great for lunches with friends, a romantic dinner with your significant other, or a special family dinner.”

“The restaurant is not really first-timer friendly. When I got there, I didn't know what to do because nobody came and greeted me or tell me how they do things. There was no menu at the table, no servers to ask, no directions. But the price of the buffet was pretty reasonable and the food was ok.”

“The restaurant food is amazing. They are the nicest sweetest people. My husband loves it, the kids love it, I think its excellent. I don't really try different Chinese restaurants a lot, But I was referred by a friend. I'm glad we found such a great place.”

“I tried Corelli's for the first time. It was my birthday and it's all good you know. I liked it very much. That's why I invited my husband if we could go back there again and we did. We were very hungry so pork chop would be the great meal for us. We waited to be seated for about 20minutes, a lot of people of course. It was Friday night, then we were seated like 7:45pm (needless to say we have to catch a movie at 8:20 pm just right at AMC) then we ordered at 7:50 pm got the salad and the water, 8:15 pm no food yet. 8:30 pm still no food. 8:45 pm this manager came up to us apologizing for the wait and told us that she is going to give us a free dessert or gift card which one we want. Then finally! 9:30 pm we got our food. We were not very hungry at that time actually and then this waiter was hurrying us up to pay the bill, what a rude waiter! Before we went out to the door the manager came up to my husband and handed him a gift card that says free appetizer, sampler not included! Oh yeah! Nice one!”

“The best dumplings I have ever tasted. their buffet is limited but full of flavor. I rocommend the pepper steak, the mongolian chicken, and their fried dumplings. The place is a little rundown but the food makes up for it.”

“We were not aware of the rule of not bringing outside food. We also asked them to store it in the fridge. They brought it out at the end of the night and also cut the cake for each of us. The tab came out and there was a cutting fee. $3.00 per person along with a linen cloth fee, which is also $3.00 per person.”

“Recently a friend at work suggested our group try this recently re-opened bar. It was closed for a year or so and bought out by new folks. It's back! Early it's quiet, later it rocks with music, great drinks and an incredible mixture of customers. I felt like a regular from the first 15 minutes I was in the place. They have a chef coming with new food menu, but their drinks are awesome. Solid pours, Dos Equis on tap and since it is a Tequila bar yes they have a bunch of Tequila's to select from, and more on the way. Special happy hours on Friday's in July for NASA affiliated folks and a great Margarita called a Lava Lamp very tasty. I've been back twice and had a great evening both times.”

“This place is a dump. I have been a regular at this establishment for a few years now and after last weeks trip I will never return. Not only was the wait staff screaming in the back about giant roaches the bathrooms are dirtier than the worst gas station. Not to mention that most of the mics and screens in the main area are broken.”

“The food was not exactly what you would call original, it has all been done before. It was honestly a waste of time and money that I could be spending at a restaurant that is actually worth it! If you are into overpriced, meteoric food then Sierra Grill is the place for you!”

“Customer service is not great, they serve buffet style, they don't ask what you need more than what they serve at the buffet, except I think when you're about to pay and they offer all sorts of goodies. Drinks? They expect you to get it from the cooler, how would you know that if you're new? No service attendants to at least ask you if you want some water.”

“We have visited margins several times and have never been disappointed. Their lasagna is the best I have ever tasted! I suggested to my husband that he have his Christmas dinner party there and everyone had a wonderful time. The portions are very generous. We ordered the "family dinners" and were able to sample several entrees and all I can say is "yum".”

“We have eaten at this restaurant for over 10 years, and have always been treated well. The food is good, the Wonton is excellent. And they are willing to adjust dishes to taste. When my family visits, they always ask to go here, if asked where they want to go. We have 3 Chinese restaurants within a mile, but drive the + 15 miles to eat here instead.”

“The food was very fresh, cooked to order and tasted wonderful. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The spring rolls and bun (my standard when trying out a new Vietnamese restaurant) was top notch. The decor left much to be desired, but not atypical of other Vietnamese restaurants I have visited. The dining room is like a small diner or cafeteria but that is pretty standard for the neighborhood. The menu is not as complete as the more expensive Vietnamese restaurants, but there are a few unique items like the French sandwiches. I expected much less for the price I paid. The vegetables were fresh and freshly prepared. Even though I ordered my food to go, the presentation was beautiful; quite impressive for a Styrofoam box. Great food, friendly service and located in spring branch! Now I dont have to go downtown to get my Vietnamese fix.”

“Brocades are located in a charming house with a great patio in a hip area of Houston. Unfortunately, nothing else about the restaurant is worth mentioning. The food was terrible bland and flavorless, at best. Honestly, our meal was inedible. This was probably one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We wound up packing up our entrees to go (and throwing them out later) and ended up down the street for dinner part II.”

“Brocades are set in a charming house with a great outdoor patio in a hip area of Houston. Unfortunately, nothing else about the restaurant is worth mentioning. The food was terrible - bland at best - awful at worst: flavorless is the most generous description we can use to describe our entreys. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. In fact, we could not even make it through our meal. We boxed the rest up to go and went around the corner to have dinner part two.”

“The Bake Shoppe moved a few years ago and is now at the corner of kluge and grant road. The owners are always there and come out and talk to you. After only a few times, they remember who you are. The food is wonderful, both the savory and sweet. Be sure to ask for the Foo Foo tea.”

“I was very upset after eating at this restaurant. After placing our order, it was a small amount of time before the food came out. Two of the meals were incorrect and had to be taken back. The second time they came out, one meal was still incorrect and was taken back. The third time the meal came out incorrect again and I called for the manager. He wanted to fix the meal again but due to a time restraint, I asked for it to be taken off the bill. He then took the plate that my friend was eating from her and said we didn't have to pay for it! And another meal was never brought back out! The food was good but the service was terrible!”

“I have eaten there since 1985, and I can say without reservation that they can not make up their mind to make good or lousy pizza. I have had the pizza that will taste so good you would think you were in New York. Other times, it will taste like a frozen piece of cardboard from the oven. The place is very erratic for quality of ingredients. They can not keep a good cook. When they get one they manage to run them off. It was the worst when the original owner's daughter ran the place. I still go because my friend still works there after all these years, strictly family Americano Italian. Chef boy are Dee style.”

“We were very disappointed in this restaurant at 3239 southwest freeway, the chef doing the cooking, left to go to the kitchen several times, leaving us all just sitting there waiting, each time he was gone 10 minutes or more, when he finally did come back, he messed up the orders and the food was very bad, it was not worth the time or the money, and i will never go back again, this was on a Sunday at 1pm, if you are going to want to keep this place open, you need to get some experienced help, and treat them right so they will want to do a good job.”

“The best bun boo hue, a definite must try. It's the type of place where you stop in and have a great meal by yourself or with a couple of lunch buddies at a great price. Now if you are having a party at home, don't hesitate to call them because you can order by the pot at a great price. Imp a regular there during lunch, it tends to get busy but the service is great.”

“I went there last night for the first time, and loved everything about it! The food was outstanding, the service was great, and I loved the fact that you can bring your own wine! “The food is excellent and the service is great. Servers are attentive and upbeat. If you like Italian food, you will love this restaurant. The menu offers lots of choices and entrees are made to order. The parking is limited, but the atmosphere inside is pleasant and suitable for family. (A great place to take a date!).”

“My sister actually gets catering all the time for her company and has only dined in the restaurant a few times, but really love it. The food is so fresh and great tasting. I like the healthy options since I always seem to be eating out when I'm traveling. I don't feel bad at all eating here. ”

“We had a bridal luncheon there a few weeks ago, making reservations over the phone was easy enough, but when we showed up, they had no idea we had one! The hostess was clueless and unhelpful, she directed our problem to a manager, who was cowarding around the corner, and heard him murmur, "I don't want to talk to them". Half of our party hadn't arrived, so looks like we were stuck at Ouisies. They were "booked" at the time and made us wait for 20 min, for they had to create a table big enough for our party. When we were finally sat, we were the only people in there! They were not "booked" at all! The first 5 wines I picked out from their list, they did not have. The food took forever, and was lackluster to say the least. I felt bad for the server to have to represent such a weak place. Its obviously profits over people there.”

“This is a special occasion restaurant for us. We love to go here for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It's a little pricey, but we enjoy the service so much. There is a jazzy atmosphere and it's very romantic. They have a special 5 inch pork chop and all their meat is perfectly cooked. Some of their desserts are prepared tableside, such as the bananas foster, baked Alaska, etc. Overall, this is one of my special event places to go.”

“A variety of "American cuisine" and a full service bar make this a perfect "business lunch" spot. Daily specials don't stray too far from the main menu themes, but the daily fish special adds variety. The staff's friendly service, along with their propensity to remember you even after only one or two visits make this a perfect "regular stop" for business lunch or happy hour.”

“A pretentious restaurant. My husband and I had an unpleasant dinner experience and unfortunately it was in the occasion of my birthday. The waitress was very pushy and came to our table too many times to move things around, to take away food that was not yet finished, to ask if we wanted more drinks etc. The two steaks that we ordered were good, but they came without any side. We ordered two sides (a baked potato and some asparagus) that were not completely cooked and rather hard. The wine list is very expensive (40$ the cheapest bottle) and the average price of a glass of wine is 10$. We ordered two desserts: a cheese cake (that was good) and a double chocolate mousse that was spoiled in a way that you could not understand what it was. I mean you could not taste any chocolate but only the acidity of the milk. We complained with the waitress, she was sorry and told us that they would have taken care of that dessert. We also had the impression during the dinner that they were rushing us in order to clean the restaurant. ”

“I had a wonderful experience at Hungary¿s. I dined at the one on rice blvd (2356 rice blvd) and really enjoyed it. They also have one on memorial dr. As well I guess. I ordered the Mediterranean grilled salmon and got an iceberg wedge salad with it. The food was so fresh and tasty! I absolutely loved the chunky feta ranch dressing. I recommend dining on the patio, even though it was warm outside it felt well because they have fans. I will visit this place again when I am in town!”

“Birraporettis was great my husband and I eat at a lot of restaurants. However we make sure we stop in birraporettis at least once a week (sometimes for Sunday brunch). The servers are very attentive and informative. They have a new wine list with my favorite la cream pinot noir on it. I recommend for appetizer the fried calamari, entree linguine pesto with grilled shrimp. Just when thought it couldn't get any better. They bring out this dessert tray with all my favorites, but I always get the tiramisu. This restaurant is great before or after a show however, gets there in plenty of time to enjoy your dinner. They are usually busy on theatre nights. ”

“After all the negative views I'd read, I was apprehensive about going but went anyway. We were very satisfied. Went for early dinner. I had the Empanada Sampler, Side Salad, Carrot Cake tasting & Raspberry Mojito. My friend had the Mariquitas (fried plantain), Side Salad, Chocolate Mousse taster and Iced Tea. Our bill was under $40. My empanelled consisted of two pork and two corn, the pastry was light, crispy & non-greasy and very flavorful, the salad had a light and tasty citrus dressing and was a perfect touch to the salad. The mojito was my first ever, very pretty and tasty and the carrot cake came in a cute shot glass and was just the right finish to the meal. My friends plantains were perfect lengthwise slices and were fried to a light crispiness. They were a grand complement to the black beans & corn which were seasoned just right. These appetizer portions were of good size for us to make a meal out of and we left there full and satisfied. Our waiter was not snooty at all but very helpful, showed up when we needed him and we were not made to feel rushed at all. We ate on the patio: the ambiance of the restaurant, the nice outdoors breeze, and the music from the radio made us feel like we were in the Caribbean, we were just missing the blue ocean. We left surprisingly satisfied and will return again.”

“Just because the name bears Popeye's doesn't just justify the fact that the management is up to date as well. The food tasted good but it took them almost 5-6 minutes to prepare an order for almost 7-8 customers ahead of me. The ambiance felt quite all right besides some bug problems, which me along with three other customers noticed. Being a restaurant in downtown Houston, I thought that they'll at least concentrate and care about their as well as customers hygiene but that that did not work as when I complained that to the manager who said that he'll take care of it, but after waiting for about ten minutes, when he didn't take any actions,, ,that is when I ended up leaving the premises and introducing my COMBO MEAL to the trash can!!!”

“The best thing for everyone is if this place goes out of business, and I ask you to do your part and stay away. It has the Denny as of Japanese restaurants, only less well-managed. I was a server here for a few months, and it was the worst job I have ever had in my life. Please remember, the servers are just trying to make a living, and the poor service is due to the bad management. The servers are treated horribly by the management. The dishwashers and cooks are treated far better than the servers. Also keep in mind this place has never had an actual Japanese employee, it is owned by Malaysians and the entirety of the rest of the staff is Mexican, except for some servers. The food is middle-low quality, sometimes the sushi is decent, and it is comparatively cheap when on special. If you want really good sushi in a real Japanese restaurant that is nearly as cheap, go to Kuboas. However, I know for a fact Tobyhanna was serving rotten hibachi meat for awhile because I tasted it, which happens because they prepare it in large batches which are stored for a week or more before use. Many people come here for birthdays, but be warned you will be charged for the birthday package deal (ice cream, photo, song and dance), and you won't get it unless you ask for it. Often the orders for big parties are delayed or messed up because the servers have to fight over the few computers to enter orders with, which causes delay. Because the servers are treated so badly there is a very high turnover which results in the poor service. They are constantly understaffed because Tobyhanna will hire anyone who applies, no experience needed, because they are so desperate for people. They train you in a week or less, and half of the training is useless stuff like how many ounces of meat is in each portion. The servers are required to tip out the hibachi chefs, which is fine, but any tips the chefs receive is not shared with the servers. The servers are also required to tip out the kitchen staff, which is illegal. Usually when the server messes up an order, they are required to pay the full retail value of the item, instead of the management absorbing the cost. Most nights I could not make more than $50, and I was sometimes there for 10 hours or more. The servers are typically constantly harassed by unsympathetic managers, and are not allowed to take any breaks or sit down. I myself delivered some bad service simply because I was overworked and I had too many customers to take care of. I always tried my best but it was impossible to keep up, in addition to being demotivated by an oppressive management. It also gets too hot in the summer, because they are too cheap to properly maintain the air conditioning. I felt really bad for the customers who would come into the 90 degree restaurant and try to eat; the smart ones left immediately. I beg you to not make the mistake of walking in the door. ”
