“The decor I found boring and cold. The food was great and the workers were personable, I just didn't find any ambiance.”

“I love this place and always eat here when I pass through Cle Elam. It can be extremely busy and as nothing is pre-made, this is not a place to go to if you are in a hurry! The small town atmosphere and slower pace enhance the experience for me. I hope this place is around forever. I love the Giant Burger Deluxe with cheese on French. What a burger!”

“Not bad for a steak. Didn't like the marinara sauce.”

“If your looking for a out of the way small town cafe with good food especially the burgers this is it. Homemade pies and a cute setting. I like to keep it a secret to keep it unspoiled so stay away.”

“We have been staying in clef elm waiting for our house to become avail cot 1 and el caporal is by far the better of the two Mexican restaurants in town. We chose the "other" restaurant the first night we were in clef elm and that was a huge mistake. El caporal had friendly, prompt staff and their food was very delicious. We have gone back another time since our stay here and haven't been disappointed, yet. It was our first time spending a long time in clef elm and the town doesn't have too much variety. It was nice to find a good place to eat where we weren't surrounded by drunks or hovering employees.”

“We walked in and were greeted with a very stressed out rushed waitress. Took 4 times of asking to get water and drinks that were ordered. When the food did finally show up the waitress literally shoved and tossed the plates on the table. She did not do a follow up at all. Salsa and drinks were not refilled. Food was a bit better than TV dinners. Unfortunately it was obvious that who ever was in charge of staffing the restaurant that night did a poor job. There was not enough staff to give the customer service that is expected. We left very unhappy!!”

“The only reason I'm doing this is my utter shock at the review posted by G from Ellensburg. I've frequented the Mineral Springs Restaurant for many years and have seen the owners come and go. The current owners are very friendly and conscientious of the product they serve. They are among the longest tenured owners since the restaurants origins. I don't know if they've read the review themselves, but I am sure they would be heartbroken to read such a negative feedback. I do eat out at many restaurants both locally and around the state.”

“ We read the one and only review (which was a "10") and guessed that if someone gave it a ten it couldn't be too bad. That review must be by someone who neither cooks nor eats out at restaurants much. The green beans were from a can. Maybe they cook a good breakfast but we will never know because we won¿t go back. We felt we could have eaten a much better meal at an average restaurant and it wouldn't have cost that much.”

“I had always wanted to stop at the mineral spring¿s restaurant but always said I would stop "next time". Well, I finally had the opportunity to have dinner there and I am so glad I did. This was the absolute best chicken fried steak dinner I ever had. There was much more than I could eat in one setting, even though I was starving! Here's the strange part, I am the kind of person who has been known to take home a "doggy-bag", put it in the fridge and never, ever eat it. Well, I took the remainder of my chicken fried steak and some potatoes and veggies home, and guess what? I just finished it off! That's how good it was! The service was excellent, which as many of you know is a rarity these days! I will not only go there again myself, but I will recommend the mineral springs restaurant to my family, friends and to anyone who wants an awesome meal, great service and atmosphere and a doggie bag of leftovers you will actually eat!”

“I've eaten here a number of times while traveling through the area and have enjoyed the atmosphere and meals a lot. The steak has a flavor that I've only encountered one time in all my travels, that being in a closed business called Bernice's Steakhouse in Bremerton, Washington. This flavor is unsurpassed in my opinion but scarce in eateries and I'd love to know what the rub or marinade is. The cafe is what you would expect for a small town restaurant; the atmosphere is cozy and access from and to the freeway is good. On-street parking hasn't been a problem for me since this cafe is "off the beaten path" of the main highway. I recommend this establishment to anybody I know that will travel this way.”
