Randy Whites Hall Of Fame Bbq
Jun 27, 2009 by Mickey from Lewisville Tx

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Food:[7] • Service:[6] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Taste.
  • Don't get catfish.

“My wife and I happened upon Randy`s on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM. I am Leary of gimmick restaurants but my wife won the vote. She enjoyed her BBQ dinner and I enjoyed my hush puppy dinner. I actually ordered a 4-5 piece fish dinner for $8.95. I thought this to be an excellent price. The fish came sliced in about 3/4" wide by 4 to 5 inches long. The 5 hush puppies weighed more than the fish. The food was actually good but was very disappointed by the serving size of the meal.”

Randy Whites Hall Of Fame Bbq
Nov 5, 2008 by Kathy from Frisco

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • The best chopped beef sandwich plate and value for the money in TX.
  • Mmmmm, I can't think of anything.

“I love Randy White's BBQ---when we get the feeling for some great BBQ, this is where we go! The people are friendly, the atmoshere fun, they sometimes have live music on Friday nights. Randy White's is not a franchise and is honestly the best BBQ in Dallas! We love it and can't wait to go back for more! What is even better, is when Randy White is there himself. He is not arrogant--he is a country boy and very nice to people when they visit his restaurant. They have excellent food choices and cornbread and rolls! It is awesome!”

Randys Steakhouse
Aug 2, 2008 by Susanne from McKinney

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Absolutely wonderful steak.
  • Prices.

“My husband and I loved our entire meal. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were hot off the grill. The bread and garlic herb butter is awesome. Presentation is very appealing. Our service person, was awesome. The food is a little too pricy; you aren't going to be able to bring your family here because most persons couldn't afford it; however, it was our anniversary and was a special treat. We will be back.”

Bennigan's
May 16, 2008 by Alex from Frisco, TX

Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5
Food:[3] • Service:[5] • Atmosphere:[5]

  • Drinks and atmosphere.
  • Food quality.

“I used to like Bennigan's more than your average place to eat. Perhaps with current economy affecting things the quality of food in this particular one has become quite bad. Last time we ate there about 2 month ago both me and my wife were sick and we are pretty robust when it comes to bad foods and poisoning. The service was generally OK and the setting is fine too. Appetizer platter quality was awful. Only go there for drinks.”

Randys Steakhouse
Dec 9, 2007 by dwm from Frisco

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[2] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • The atmosphere was very nice, the bar was nice.
  • Food and price.

“We had the absolute worst experience eating at this restaurant. It is definitely overrated and the food that we had was very bad. The steaks were very dry and the baked potatoes were not done in the middle and tasted like pure starch. They even gave me the wrong salad dressing. Everything you buy is ala carte. So it is outrageously priced. It is your choice but is prepared. I would rather spend my money at Kirbys in Plano or salt grass steak house in Dallas or McKinney. Go ahead and enjoy but you better take the bank with you. And oh you will also want to eat after you leave there because what you get there will not be edible.”

Randys Steakhouse
Oct 6, 2007 by Alex from Corpus Christi

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Service, ambience, food, and Randy himself meeting the guests as they dine.
  • First time there and didn't experience anything negative.

“I would really recommend to enjoy a night at Randy's Steakhouse. I was able to enjoy sports on their TVs in the bar/lounge, enjoy live music, and enjoy conversation with the person I was with. We started in the bar for the first hour then had dinner in their nice relaxing patio. We didn't feel rushed and just enjoyed the Friday evening, which we experienced on October 5th, 2007. One steak I would totally recommend is the crawfish stuff filet if you like something with a little spice and a great flavor. I will definitely be back to enjoy something else on the menu.”

Randys Steakhouse
Oct 6, 2007 by alex from Frisco

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Food, service, drink option, and ambience.
  • This was my first experience and didn't really experience anything negative.

“I would recommend anyone that wants to have a full evening with different type of environments in one place. You can go and sit at the bar and watch a sporting event on the TVs available, listen to music on a Friday or Saturday evening, or have a nice romantic dinner either in one of the dinning rooms or out on the lovely patio, which I did Friday, October 5th, 2007. I had a great experience and definitely will go back. Try the crawfish stuffed filet if you want something a little spicy and a great compliment of crawfish, steak, and their great bordelaise sauce.”

Randy Whites Hall Of Fame Bbq
Sep 28, 2007 by Phil from Frisco

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[2] • Service:[2] • Atmosphere:[3]

  • Reasonably Priced.
  • Cold Rolls and Cold Cornbread. Left feeling sick like we were food poisoned.

“This is the second time we visited Randy White's BBQ in Frisco. Our first visit was not bad. Our second visit was terrible. The rolls and the cornbread were cold like they were on our first visit. My wife ordered fried okra and waited 5 minutes for it then she had to go back and ask the employee where her okra was? He looked confused and opened up the door to where they keep food warm and handed her a basket of okra with a piece of fuzz on the top. My wife and I both left disappointed and when we got home we had to eat Tums because we were so sick to our stomachs. I am a man with a cast iron stomach that never gets sick and we were sick from this food. On both of our visits, the bread was cold and we love hot rolls. We will not waste our money there again. We will drive 5 minutes down the road to Spring Creek BBQ where you get good BBQ and the rolls are always hot. Spring Creek always seems to have a line and Randy White's did not. There is a lot to be said for that. Don't waste you money at Randy White's. They need to catch a clue and have hot food waiting for you, not cold food that has been sitting under a heat lamp.”

Down Under Pub & Grub
Apr 29, 2007 by Karl Goldman from Frisco Texas

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[8] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Food good for the most part, steaks and drinks prepared well.
  • Immature management.

“I have known Down Under for about 5 years now. The management has changed. At times patrons have been ejected for no reason. The management takes a heavy hand and ejecting customers for no apparent reason. At times someone may want a drink refill and approach the bar seeing a vacated stool and push it aside to get a refill. If a customer feels that you intend to take the seat, even if he gets a confirmation that he is not going to sit there, the management will try to eject the customer. This is due to overzealous security and immature staff. It may sound petty, but when you are a professional that does food and wine reviews for restaurants and staff reviews you begin to understand the severity of the situation. The management does not mind losing patrons so satisfy exaggerated feelings. In addition the clientele is now quickly becoming the after middle age crowd due to its over handed nature. ”
