• Dislike every thing.

“I have had some interesting dining experiences. Just thought I'd share. I have never been much of a complainer at restaurants. I've had numerous bad experiences, but this tops them all. Last night at Z Grill & Tap in Flower Mound, TX My co-workers and I went into Z Grill & Tap for drinks. Before we could step in the door good we were greeted by a very rude waitress. The group spoke to her and tried to make small talk and was told Look I need your drink orders and I have other tables to tend to, so what do you want to drink? At this point we all looked at each other and said someone is having a bad day. While having drinks, my co-workers and I decided to order chips and queso. Before the queso comes out, the rude waitress comes to the table with a stack of plates and utensils and hands them to my coworker as if he works there. We all look at each other again and laugh about it. At this point we were met with an unpleasant surprise. The manager/owner comes out with our order and takes it around the restaurant and allows four different tables to hover and breathe on the order. It gets worse - the manager/owner comes to our table with our order and asks if we ordered this and we all replied yes, and he takes it to another table and asks if they ordered it and they replied no. So he takes it back to the rude waitress and she brings it to us after it had been passed around to a total of five tables. At this point, I was very upset with the service and asked the waitress to bring out a fresh bowl of queso and she replied 'are you serious?! I replied that yes I am. So she removes the bowl of queso from the table and takes it to the back for about 20 second, then brings it back to the table as if she really grabbed a fresh bowl. At this point, I flagged down the manager/owner and asked for the bill to be adjusted due to the inconvenience and I was told no (by the pathetic manager/owner). Wow I was really surprised.”

• Margaritas and kahlua shots.
• Food is only ok.

“We go here often. They have the absolute best margaritas in DFW. The food is so-so, but I think awesome margaritas trumps food quality. Service is good. Sometimes they bring free kahlua shots after diner. The atmosphere is unique. Great place to take visitors from out of town.”

• Food is consistently good - love the steak quesadillas.
• Does a lot of business - may have to wait a bit to get in.

• Used to be a good restaurant.
• Rude & crass management.

“Food and service have gone steadily downhill since new owner came in a few months ago. Management is very rude. Such a shame; my family and I used to love this place. Now, there are many better dining options in the neighborhood.”

• Not getting sick.
• The entire experience.

“I took my family to Z Grill and it is Z worst place I have been in years. Service was enough to make you walk out, very rude and uncaring, and the food was almost inedible. Dirty restrooms and our table wasn't cleaned properly. Save your money and time, that area has much more to offer the Z Grill.”

• Good guacamole.
• Boring menu and average quality food.

“Average quality food; nothing special about the food or service. Too "family friendly" for those without small children along to scream in their ears to be comfortable. When I go, it is because I am visiting a friend in Flower Mound and we want to eat out without having to drive far. My friend always requests one waiter because he is good--what does that say for the overall level of service? And we've sometimes had to sit in the smoking section to get him, but we've done it even though not one of us smokes. Even when not sitting in the smoking section one can easily smell cigarette smoke in the restaurant.”

• Very family-friendly.
• Long wait after 5 for table.

“Great restaurant and food!! They are very attentive and very concerned about your stay/visit with them. Best salsa ever!”

• The food is in my top 5 for Mexican restaurants.
• The place also needs to expand and accept reservations.

“The food is some of the best in the area. I can think of a few places that are better, but not so close to home. Wendy is right about the Guam. It is great. The one thing that brings them down is their drinks. Their margaritas are way overpriced and weak compared to Christina's on 1171.”

• I liked the food and the atmosphere- yummy salsa.
• There fajitas aren't the best I¿ve had.

“They have the best salsa ever-seriously I have never tasted better. The beef chimichanga is amazing and the spinach quesadillas are really good too. The original location is the best - the branches are good but the atmosphere doesn't compare and they simply aren't as good as the original.”

• Hard to find and a ways out of the way.

• The only nearby restaurant for the locals.
• Since opening new locations this location has suffered IMMEASURABLY. Sadly.

“This restaurant use to be one of the BEST. Since they have opened so many new branches you will need to travel to one of the other locations for that superior service, excellent ambiance and quality of food that once made this restaurant local tradition. Wait staff stand around (or sit around) visiting while you are waiting for service -- big pet peeve!”

“very beautiful/california style and the wine was very cheap prices they use 1/2 half prices and the manger Victor rojas is great service and expert on wine knowledge,the food are fab..............”
