• Food was excellent, best tomato soup ever!
• Round tables were great for dinner, but not for seating during the show.

“Show was very enjoyable, and dinner was great. Planning on a return trip next month. Square tables for groups along the wall would be better for group seating.”

• Very nice atmosphere.
• Small bathroom needed cleaned and repaired.

“Traveled to Wytheville with a group of ladies last year, and enjoyed the Log House! Dinner and dessert was $25 each, but well worth it. The atmosphere and time spent with friends was very enjoyable. Visiting again in Nov. and going to call ahead for reservations if possible.”

• Shawn the waiter was friendly and engaging.

“When many people hear the words Bob Evans they do not get excited about dinner. These people are wrong. Bob Evans in Wytheville, VA is the greatest place to stop and get a bite to eat, whether you are on a date, with a family, or just an old guy enjoying some good home (kind of) cooking. We heartily recommend the chicken pot pie; it has the most delicious flaky crust. We also recommend you to ask for Shawn, he is the friendliest and most interesting waiter either of us have encountered at any Bobs. Two thumbs up.”

• Atmosphere and quality of food.
• The wait was not long, the bar is small, but considering the age adequate.

“Food was excellent, servers were friendly and prompt. Value for the money is good. Building and furnishings are period, providing a pleasant meal.”

• We didn't leave a tip.
• We wasted our money.

“Nasty and dirty! Terrible service so bad customers were drinking out of 20oz bottles because the $2.50 for a drink that wasn't included with the meal wasn't even drinkable. 2.50 again for refills, I asked. Took forever to get our pizza, salad bar had cobwebs over the bulbs and glass, the blinds by our booth had food and furry stuff on them. We were going to walk out but after traveling and being tired and hungry who would have thought a pizza hut would be so bad. When we walked in and usually would be asked how many, a waitress said hi, and we asked are we to seat ourselves and this backwoods woman looked at us like we didn't speak English.”

• The atmosphere is wonderful!
• I can't think of a thing that warrants a negative comment.

“Some of the best food I have ever had in a vintage restaurant. They have a menu that is reflective of the era and the food is very well prepared. The dining choices vary from small, romantic areas to larger group-type areas. Clean restrooms, a great (and very large) gift shop, easy parking, and a low traffic area all contribute to the enjoyment of dining here.”

• Excellent food, staff and charming atmosphere.
• At 9 p.m. A couple with 2 toddlers came into the bar/lounge. The children were unruly and disruptive to our enjoyment of our meal and after dinner relaxation. Should not let children in bar area.

“We were charmed to find such a unique place just beyond all of the interstate "junk eateries"! I have been raving about it to everyone. And being a race weekend you would think they were rushed and the service would have suffered, but that wasn't the case at all. I was just sorry we had to leave and didn't have a chance to go back for lunch the next day!”

• Wonderful food.
• Nothing negative.

“This will be our third visit this weekend, March 17, 2006 and the second for our oldest son and his wife. We travel from Frankfort, KY to the Ocean Bay Restaurant for our anniversary. We were all married on March 17. We found the restaurant by accident a few years ago and are we glad.”

• Everyone is very friendley,we are there every year for the spring race and we always stop on saturdaynight for dinner.
• Need more of a waiting room, maybe in close the front porch.

“We have being coming to the log house for many years now, we look forward to our visit there, thank you for many wonderful dinners.see you this weekend saturday the 2nd.”
