Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Cheap food, friendly and attentive staff. Delicious every visit.
  • Location of parking lot exit.

“This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The food is fantastic, the serving staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are very conservative. I'm not sure what Poncho's the other reviewers were talking about, but this one definitely deserves a try.”

Its About Thyme

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Great spot for foodies.
  • Seating just a little cramped.

“I was amazed by the service in this restaurant! I was in the service industry for years and have never seen anything run like this well-oiled machine. As I reached for the last piece of bread, the basket was re-placed and my tea never got below half-full. Seeing them do the same for others was like watching ballet. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the veal, my husband the filet mignon. It was the best both us have ever had. I told anyone who would listen about it for weeks.”

Its About Thyme

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • Fancy Euro street cafe style.
  • Icky food.

“Tight seating at any table. This is a place to be seen and not heard as it generally is like a herd of "look at me, I got style"! Meat portions are too salty and (like every thing, even the veggies) dipped in off brand perfume prior to the glam presentation. Come and meet all your snotty friends! PS: Don't worry about the calories as you will work them off getting back to where you parked your car. Finish and leave before dark.”

Its About Thyme
Apr 14, 2008 by Sam from Warrenton

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[8] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[6]

  • Liked the food.
  • Four items on my bill that we did not order.

“Over the last 4 years because I really liked the food, I had put up with some occasional rude service from the owner and 4 instances out may be 8 visits of finding things on my check that I did not order (Having it corrected in a polite manner). After the 4th time, I quit going for about a year. In a weak moment, looking for some good food and hoping my problem had been a fluke we tried again. To my amazement, it happened again, this time 4 items on my bill that we did not order. I asked to speak to the owner and told him about my problem. The owner was indignant and defensive/aggressive and told me not to come again. I agreed it had been a very foolish decision to try again.”

  • Atmosphere.
  • Food and service.

“I had a $35 prime rib that could not be eaten. The waiters did not bring our drinks, and after we reminded them it was too late. After dinner we were asked to leave to get other people in quickly.”

Food:[2] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • It's a nice town and restaurant furnishing is nice.
  • Poor service, we didn't get our drinks and prime rib was not eatable.

“This restaurant requires reservations to get in early due to large dinner crowds. My dinner experience was very bad. The waiters, several came by the table, but when we ordered drinks they didn't arrive and when they brought dinner 40 minutes later and we asked about the drinks they said the bar messed up and asked us what we ordered. The dinner was worse; I paid for a piece of prime rib you couldn't eat. After dinner we were asked to leave to get more people in to eat. I would not recommend this restaurant as they do not care about the customer.”

Its About Thyme
Aug 22, 2007 by Eve from Alexandria

Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • The service, the specials, the house salad, the bread, and the atmosphere.
  • Clientele whose motto is Misery Loves Company.

“I love this place. I drive here with friends from Alexandria every other Saturday for lunch. The menu is great, but I always look forward to the offerings on the specials list. My favorite is the pork roast. As many as four staff members attend to each table in a synchronization that seems impossible given the numbers filling the cafe and the closeness of the charmingly set tables. I've never had to repeat myself or had to ask for anything, except the bill. Patrons fill every table by 11:45, but the turnover and wait time is quite reasonable given the demand. The staff has always been courteous and accommodating to not only my parties, but to those around me. I adore the house salad. I love the European touch of including a bit of salad on the plate of most entrees. The lively chatter and the bustling staff are part of the charming and comfortable atmosphere. This is an oasis in any season and I have been refreshed by their iced tea in summer and their hearty delicious soups in the chillier temperatures. I have always felt that a meal here was an incredible value. While I hate to have more people discover this cafe, I'm delighted to recommend an establishment that represents excellence in cuisine and service, while being really down-to-earth about it.”

Food:[9] • Service:[4] • Atmosphere:[6]

  • Food is great!
  • Staff is very rude.

“I love the food but the staff is rude and the service slow. Forget about it if you want to have separate bills and the cost for the food a little too high. The only reason I keep going back is for the lunch specials.”
