“They do the basics but they do them well! A great place to take your family and it will not cost you much more than fast food. Of course, they have healthier options than fast food menus and the food tastes so much better! They have daily specials and kids menu. There are two attributes that really stand out about this restaurant. First, you will oftentimes be greeted by the owner! He is very courteous and really takes pride in servicing his customers and providing great tasting affordable meals! That is unheard of anymore! Second, they have the best pancakes in the town. Hands down! It is somewhat small in the dining area. Some may feel a little cramped but the patrons you will sit next to are friendly, loyal, down home folks. I highly recommend a visit.”

“The wagon wheel supper club's baby back ribs were excellent (Danish baby back ribs) - fall off the bone, finger-licking good! My husband ordered the "butterball for one", (he thought he was ordering poultry, but it was actually an extra large center-cut tenderloin black angus steak. The chef grilled it on an open charcoal grill, which we viewed from the dining room) - it was so tender, he could have used his butter knife. It's a 2nd generation family owned business - I think the oldest in Wausau, wig. They have an extensive wine listing w/their own wine cellar. The atmosphere is so unique, antiques everywhere - very cozy next to the fireplaces (2). It's our favorite! My husband & I enjoy fine dining, great wine & relaxation - if you're the same, than this place is for you. But if you lean more towards chain restaurants (with lower prices & "in & out" service, i.e. Fast dining), than maybe you'll want to stick to the apple bees/olive garden/Tony Roma's type restaurants. However, if you're an educated connoisseur in quality food & spirits, you'll appreciate their menu. They say. Good things never come cheap & are always worth the wait.”

“Never had a great meal here. Food is adequate. Restaurant is loud. I have tried 3 different meals, 3 different times of day. I don't need to go back. Sorry.”

“Burgers and steaks among the best in Wausau. Specials are excellent. Can't wait for the patio and bib area to open. Always worth waiting for a table.”

“Gulliver¿s loc offers an environment that differs from many area diners. Restaurant offered a small menu with typical supper club options (steak, fish, seafood and pasta). Prices for meals ranged from $9.95-$30, without drinks. I ordered a seafood fettuccini special on Friday night. Consisted of a large play with an adequate amount of fettuccine and Alfred sauce. The pasta was topped with 3 large shrimp; a small piece of poor mans haddock, and two large scallops. Pre-meal consisted of a choice of soup or salad, typical for any dinner and a dinner roll. Pasta was decent. Haddock had great flavor, wish there would have been more. Scallops were alright, not much sweet flavor. The shrimp I was the most disappointed in, very over cooked and tough. Fellow customer I was there with had salmon, which was also over cooked and tough.”

“The food is awesome, I love the fresh bread and the oil you dip it into- yum yum. The restaurant is a bit romantic, perfect for a quiet night out.”
