Oscars Frozen Custard

• Person taking order was considerate.
• Greasy, disgusting food!

“I have been to this and another location on Hwy 100 many times over the last 25 years. My most recent trip was a disaster. So much grease on the burger that it splattered my car and linen pants as I took the burger out of the bag - before I had even removed the wrapper! Not a few drops; a stream of grease that soaked my pants. The fries were soggy with? Not crisp at all. I took it back and talked to manager. He actually asked if I wanted a replacement. Disgusting. Paid, for pleasure of squeezing the rest of the grease out of the burger onto the counter. No offer to pay for ruined pants or soiled car - Nada. Oscar's and I have parted company for good!”

• They have great soups.
• Too many people smoke and it drifts into non smoking area.

“Christina's is a family oriented restaurant. The helpings are very generous and they always have daily specials. Breakfast is very good and good coffee. All the local people go here to eat. They have a wide variety. Owners are friendly people. Only negative is even though they have designated areas for smoking and nonsmoking, the smoke during busy time does drift over to the non smoking area.”

“Awesome food! Had the Hey Curly Where's Moe (Stir fry over curly noodles), it was delicious! The veggies were super fresh tasting and the whole dish tasted light and hearty at the same time. Big servings so the price. Would definitely have this one again. The server (bartender) was really friendly! Would definitely go back!”

• Nothing, but allot of people carried out pizza.
• Smoky atmosphere, dull, dark, ok food (nothing special), horrible service.

“We went there for a romantic dinner and wanted to try something new. The reason we knew about the restaurant was from a coupon in the mail that offered two dinners for $35. Well, not at all. We left our house and went there immediately like 10-15 minutes later and got there and the wait turned into 40 minutes. Ok, asked for non-smoking because I cannot stand eating in smoke, enough though they don't have any separation between their smoking and non-smoking sides. Well, we decided to have a drink in the corner of the bar were no one close to us was smoking. So after 30 minutes of sitting at the bar, I had to leave and wait in the waiting room because it turned very smoky. We waited another 30 minutes in the waiting room and asked about 3 times when we were going to get served. Finally they must have gotten sick of us and stuck us in the smoking section which you can't tell the difference because one table is smoking and the next table is non. Well, the people next to us were chain smoking so bad that 5 minutes after we ordered we asked that if they could wrap the food up because we could not handle or wanted to be there any longer.”

• They have a friendly bar (Chinese cheers).
• Hard to find (next to Mexican store).

• I really enjoyed the friendly service.
• Slow when busy.

“Mack's frozen custard has a great extensive menu for adults and children. Including pizza (kid sizes also), wraps, salads, sandwiches (root beef, roast pork, barbecue beef, chicken), and of course custard! With the newly renovated lobby, Mack¿s is a great place to add to your travels in Waukesha.”

• Very fast service.
• Very bad looking and tasting food.

“Gyros west were recommended by an area friend for superb Gyros. I absolutely love a good gyro so I had to try it. The air in the building is thick and still but not uncommon in this largely blue collar town. There is a decent separation between smoking and none, and overall the place is relatively clean...at least your arms won't stick to the table...any guarantees about the condiment rack though. I ordered a Gyro supreme, which is exactly like a regular Gyro, except with more meat. No additional toppings such as Feta Cheese or Olives come with i.e. small chunk of Feta is available for an additional $1.75. The cucumber sauce isn't so much cucumber sauce as it is ripe sour cream. It comes in little separate containers, not bottles and has the consistency of chilled butter. Not the creamy liquid goodness served at even the most mediocre of gyro places. Now, as for the meat itself...well this can be tricky. In the USA it is often par for the course to get a mixed lamb/beef combination of frozen, processed rotisserie meat product. Sometimes this can taste pretty alright, and if cooked properly it can even taste like fresh lamb rotisserie. But man, oh man this stuff must be the dead cat special. Seriously. It looked and tasted like the lowest quality combination of beef/chicken and bread crumbs dripping with a 40% saline solution (salt water) and grease. The Pita bread was also glazed with grease. All in all this was not appetizing I will say that the wait staff is very quick. It was difficult for me to communicate with the staff as most of them seem to speak broken English or have very thick accents. They are a diverse crowd indeed, and extremely friendly and fast, but I was turned off by their inability to understand how much to debit my credit card due to my writing in a tip. They don't have any special line for adding a tip. You just write it in on the bill somewhere. ”
