“This is Fort Belvoir's area best kept secret. It's a very small place and gets very crowded and noisy during the lunch time rush but the food is excellent. I've had them modify several of their menu items and they prepared it to perfection. Very delicious! Also, because it's so small, there's almost always a wait and people stand around and over you while you're eating waiting to be seated because there's no waiting area.”

“I really like the Red Lobster location on Van Dorn here in Alexandria VA. I've been going there for years - and I've never had a bad meal or a bad experience. Keep up the good work!”

“Our Server was absolutely excellent and we really enjoyed our lunch. The food was fresh, we found many interesting combinations to choose from. The location is super and easily found from the car park close by. Thanks to all concerned for looking after us!”

“Bilbo Baggins may look like a pub when you walk in, due to the long bar (Green Dragon) on the left, and the high tables to the right, but the food is fantastic and very original. Upstairs, you will find a room painted with LOTR's scenes, and lower tables to sit at more comfortably. The atmosphere has a great feel of an old world pub, straight out of the LOTR books. Price is slightly higher than a mid-range restaurant. My fiance and I love this place, and take all of our visitors here.”

“I was in town for a convention and someone recommended. I loved the food and the service, told some friends about it and by the end convention we were going there everyday trying out something new. Everything we tried was great, the only complain we heard out of the group was that the burritos were too big. We got back to Newport News and the word is spreading. It is about a 2.5 hour drive from where we live and someone is talking about going there this weekend. Others are asking how to get there. Bottom line, this place is highly recommended.”

“When visiting old town the folks at our hotel recommended the Wharf. The food was outstanding especially the Cashew Mahi which was one the specials. The Crab Cakes were the best I had in a long time. Service was a little slow but it was Saturday night.”

“The service was very good and the food tasted excellent for my main meal I had a Pad Thai probably the best Ive tried. The decor is excellent and exclusive.”

“Four of us went to The Wharf based on a few magazine articles that it was supposed to be one of the best places in Old Town. This being our first trip to Alexandria for the Scottish Christmas walk, we relied on information of this sort. We did make reservations and were pleasantly accommodated when we arrived early. The restaurant itself is an interesting old building but the ambiance was nothing special. Our waiter was very rude to us constantly and rushed us thru dinner and out - never even asked if we wanted coffee! He started clearing plates while we were still eating, constantly reached in front of us across the table to serve instead of walking around. The food itself was rather high priced and definitely not worth it. I would rate it mediocre. We most definitely would not go back nor would we recommend it to anyone. We did let them know we were not pleased but all our waiter seemed concerned about was his tip - which was very minimal.”

“This is a local type restaurant - small - informal dining. It has some of the best Thai food that I have found in the DC metropolitan area. I have been to Thailand and love Thai cooking. The taste of the food at Rice & Spice comes closest to what I remember from eating in Thailand. The service is friendly, the food is great and they can accommodate most requests.”
