“Fish is not fresh. Seaweed salad was an impression. Head to Shin La for the voted best sushi in town.”

“I love the food! I always love to get the spicy squid dish with a side order of kimchi. The Japanese food they serve is good, as well. I love the tempura battered shrimp and the various noodle soups. The sushi was good. The only draw-back is that it really depends on just who is waiting on your table. If you're lucky, the owner will be your waitress. She is very charming. Some of the girls are. Somewhat uninspired. While the ambiance is not nearly Korean enough, the delicious food makes up for it. I'm starting to get really hungry just talking about them!”

“I have never been to a restaurant that made me feel so welcome, I felt like I was entering a cult! But, it was not one of those places with bad food and great service. The food was amazing. My steak was so tender. I had a New York strip with crushed peppercorns and a brown sauce on it. To die for! I cannot wait to be sent up to Keene NH for work again. I will make the trip to over to Brattleboro, VT anytime for a steak like that.”

“An independent coffee shop, Mocha Joes is intimate, friendly, arty and totally not starbucks. Located in what used to be a cobbler's shop, a few steps below street level in the center of Brattleboro. This is where you stop for coffee if you are, or wish you were, a member of the artistic and intellectual elite.”

“We had an inedible meal there on mothers day; which no one in particular cared about even when they were told; the prime rib was so fatty and tough we couldn't even eat it; along with hard, tasteless roasted potatoes.
