Brisco County Wood Grill

• The view and the burgers.
• All the other food, and the prices.

“Our bread was stale, the chicken dumpling soup was definitely out of a can, the chicken on our nachos was some sort of shredded drumstick meat, and the swordfish was nothing short of disgusting. The burger and fries were good, but that was about it.”

“The food was fine but our service was terrible. It was a Thursday night, not very busy and our waitress was not with it. Didn't get my drink until I was halfway through my meal, she brought the wrong pizza (12" instead of 14" and had some of the wrong toppings) and didn't say anything even after she knew she served us the wrong pizza. I had to ask her if this was right (the topping were hidden so no one knew it was wrong until after we served it up) and then she finally fessed up while laughing! She didn't offer to make us the right pizza or compensate for the mistake. Starving, we just ate it and left. I just didn't think that was the best customer service. I doubt her manager knew what had happened otherwise maybe they would have at least apologized for the mix up. I don't think we will go back. Sad, because I was really looking forward to eating there since I had heard good things. Hopefully it was just an off night.”

• Large food selection, quality of food for the money's worth.
• There isn't a similar buffet place in Appleton.

“I really enjoyed the large selections of food they had available. The sushi was excellent in quality in comparison to other Chinese buffet place that I had gone to in Wisconsin. I would definitely recommend this place for out-of-town traveler who appreciate quality Chinese food.”

• The host, he was great.
• The noise and food quality and smoke.

“Other than the great host it was the worse experience of my life. The host at least made me feel welcomed. The place needs work. He's gone now for some reason. I was told he was fired. It would seem that they would want more like him. Desserts are usually excellent.”

“Il Ritrovo has the best pizza, wood fired, thin crust. My husband and I drive three hours from Chicago, a couple of times a year so we can get our fix of Stefano's Margarita pizza DOC. All their pizza is great but the Margarita DOC is signature pizza. Their soups and salads are also delicious. The restaurant also has a cute shop next door with wine, cheese and other imported goodies.”

• The unique design of the building.
• Horrible food made by children. No adults visible on staff.

“I remember the food at cruisers being pretty good. I haven't been there in a few years, and while shopping in that area, decided to stop in for a steak sandwich. My boyfriend and I had a couple sodas, two "steak sandwiches", and some onion rings -- which brought our total to about $20. These were the worst "steak sandwiches" we have ever had!!! The best way to describe the actual meat patty would be a cross between shoe leather and a freezer-burnt burger king patty. There was no butter, and it was served barely warm (we both had to return to the counter as they had forgotten the cheese on both, which they fixed by just slapping a cold piece on each). I will never spend another cent in this restaurant.”

• A/C blew right on you, no diffuser.

“The eclectic pizza combinations and quality of the crust was outstanding. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very friendly.”

• Great food and fun.
• I eat there too much it's awesome!

“Kiku is awesome. The main dinners come A delicious beef broth soup and a salad with fantastic ginger dressing. The staff is very entertaining with the chef preparing food and telling jokes. The drinks are out of this world. They cook your order right in front of you from a menu of steak, chicken and a variety seafood. Dinner is a multicourse meal that starts with a shrimp appetizer then fried rice, then your main course. Finally a fried cabbage dish is prepared. All of which are just fantastic. You'll surely be bringing some home with you and it tastes even better the next day!”

“Great family food and fun for a fair price. The bar area has a sports atmosphere, with the big game on a large screen. The non-smoking area has a western theme and very family oriented. Numerous booth seats overlook the Sheboygan River and/or Lake Michigan. The menu choices include Rotisserie Chicken, BBQ Ribs, Hamburgers (The best in Sheboygan!), Angus Beef Steaks, Chicken Sandwiches, Fajitas, Soup, Chili, Seafood: Shrimp, Tuna and Salmon, Pasta Dishes, Great Appetizers (try the Brisco tenders!), and of course a Sheboygan Brat. Everybody is friendly and fun!”
