“I was with a group of 10 people who decided to try the Amber because it was a place we could all get to without difficulty and the parking was free and convenient. I was delighted to find that the dining room was clean and well lit (some leave the lights low for atmosphere but also to hide deficiencies). I felt comfortable from the beginning. I requested speedy service because I needed to depart earlier than the rest. They said, no problem. I ordered a regular breakfast to avoid time-consuming confusion with a couple of exceptions. I requested eggs soft scrambled and the sausage crisp. It's rare to get it that way but they did it! Much to my surprise, The food was tasty and a good value. The service was pleasant and efficient. Not only will I return to the Amber, I will refer others.”

“Some business associates and I eat here every year during the outdoor retailer show. It is such a surprise to think I can get better sushi in Salt Lake City, than I can in my home town of Portland. Everything is so fresh and creative. I would suggest any of their specialty rolls, or some sashimi. The staff is educated and friendly, and the atmosphere is hip and inviting. I would suggest this place to anyone. Put one in Portland!”

“The Rusted Sun Pizzeria is known by many of the locals more for their calzones than pizzas. They bake a great pie from homemade sauces and dough. The restaurant is in an old era diner with only six tables and a counter that seats eight, so if atmosphere is important, you may want to look elsewhere. If you want a place to enjoy a good beer and a fantastic calzone with people you can relax with, this is for you. Try the combo, bleu chicken, or roundup. You can also build your own with great ingredients like artichokes, sweet red onion, feta cheese, pine nuts, spinach, grilled chicken and sausage. Their beer selections include a few of the local microbrews such as Uinta's Cutthroat Pale Ale and King's Peak Porter.”

“Great burritos for a great price. The food is authentic and has a good selection. Not for the Taco Bell type. This is real Mexican food.”

“The Metropolitan has fallen over the years. The fancy looking food tastes less and less fancy. The service is slower. If you want to do business, it is difficult when there is constant shouting going up and down pouring past the glass window front of the restaurant.”

“If you have ever been to Salt Lake City Utah and gone to The Bottling House? If not you are missing the best thing in Utah. They have Monday night football with chili everything. Tuesday and Thursday game night were you can be a guitar hero, Wednesday every other Friday and Saturdays are karaoke night. Then every other Friday and Sundays is a bad the All Stars. Sunday they have a wonderful cook that cooks old southern food that makes you home sick. Come join the fun I am telling you its the best place I have ever been and I have been to a lot of places. You can even get a ride home from one of the many sober people there if you have too much fun.”

“Great food, excellent service, and best patio in salt lake city. We were on our bicycles after riding the Bonneville shoreline trail. We went there for some crabs and got a heck of a lot more. They provide a bike rack with bike locks right on their patio. They have the best authentic Italian food and a wine list with great variety.”

“This is a great place to get what I consider the best sandwich. My personal favorite is the Pepper Steak with Provolone cheese. I like the hot sandwiches more than the cold ones but, both are excellent. There are two locations in SLC, 1618 South State, 2125 South 3200 West. I have been to both, same great food. I go here for the food not necessarily the atmosphere.”

“We visited Utah as a family my husband had some business meeting in Salt Lake City. We went to Tucci's for lunch, it was not very busy, we got sat right away. We ordered our lunch, I had pizza Margarita with roasted garlic, fresh tomato, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese. It was hot and fresh, I do not thing I had such pizza like that before, I was amazed by our server Masha, she was very tactful and experienced. We for sure will go back again and visit tucci's.”

“I visited the restaurant this summer on the weekend around 6:30 and it was really busy, but I got greeted just like the first customer arrived. I enjoyed the food, it was excellent , but the service was exceptional. I will continue to go to that place and will recommended it to my other friends. I finally found the place I want dine in every time I visit Salt lake City.”

“A large group of us went to MSB last week and ordered various dishes including grilled salmon, seafood salad, crab Cakes etc. Although the ambiance was excellent, the service was slow and the food did not meet our expectations. My Seafood salad portion was too small, the crab cakes overcooked, and the Salmon lacked a smooth rich flavor to name a few examples. Unfortunately our meal started off with a lackluster serving of stuffed mushrooms. They tasted too greasy, didn't taste fresh, and lacked a good mixture of textures and flavors that one would expect. We wouldn't be back to know we could have this same experience again. Too pricey.”

“I've had better sandwiches from an elementary school cafeteria. Dumpy service, unclean and poorly lit environment. At five bucks, even a Subway sandwich would have been a better value.”

“We decided to dine while we waited for our evening movies to show at the Century 16 Theater, so we agreed on this restaurant across the street. The restaurant is located behind a private club, but is not excluded from the bar. Serving appetizers and drinks before the main course, the service was not to be dismissed. Although the dining area is a little intimate, we noticed larger families dining as well. Out main course, served to traditional perfection and the food succulent and aromatic. Be sure to make reservations - we were lucky for seating, but food is ordered fresh and some meals are ordered 1 day in advance.”

“Its a little bar hidden in Salt Lake City, UT. The garlic burgers are spectacular. I think its the only item on the menu. If you love a great burger stop. Bikers frequent this hole in the wall. ”

“Quite possibly the best coffee I've had. The aura of this shop overwhelmed me not sure if it was the style of building or the art on the walls or what. No doubt about it though, there is something healing about this place. The menu is very simple with the food being very tasty. Also I might add, the baristas were all very knowledgeable and quite pretty. There was one in particular who seemed a bit depressed but her looks made up for it -_-.”

“This was a nice meal. The price was 21.98 for dinner, full Rodizio, and the food was pretty good. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but certainly good enough to warrant approval, especially considering it was unique and the atmosphere was fun. You will not leave hungry.”

“Most of their waitresses have been there for several years and offer great service. The owner is usually at the front desk and makes sure everyone is happy and pleased with their service. The food is good and some weeks they offer $1.00 margaritas on Thursdays. Only complaint is that the building is in desperate need of a remodel. ”

“I was in Valley Fair Mall before leaving for the airport and I walked past a small coffee shop, It was the Copper Kettle. I walked in and ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage and egg It came with a free coffee, fresh fruit and a hash brown patty, It was very well worth the $4.79!!!!! And smoked any of the so called sandwiches in other fast food places I have been to lately. I had a frozen latte to go and it rocked as well!!”

“Excellent breakfast. The place is a bit small, it's actually an old house but the wait is worth it. We went there the day after a wedding and there was plenty of food for the money. Excellent coffee as well. It's located across the street from Sugarhouse Park and I suggest going there one Sunday morning and taking a walk around the park afterwards. Great home style place.”

“If you are in the market for a great pastrami burger then the Crown Burger is for you! They also have excellent fries with a delicious fry sauce (a Utah favorite). If you like Greek their gyros aren't too bad either. The Crown Burger is definitely not for the weak at heart and is for meat lovers. People looking for a light menu, look elsewhere because this place will definitely give you your fill of fat and calories for the next week but every bite is well worth it! It also costs a little bit more than if you went to a unusual fast food restaurant but this also isn't your typical fast food restaurant.”

“The menu has good variety but nothing on there that you would eat normally. The prices are very reasonable with entrees ranging from about $14-20 with it being worth every penny. For some time my mom and I went to McGrath's Fish House for her birthday and after getting a bottle of wine and an appetizer we were into the bill $70. Here we spend the same amount, have a MUCH better selection of wine and the food is much, much better. I like the calamari steak which is served with a lemony type of sauce, similar to a hollandaise but not as heavy, and steamed veggies. Excellent!”

“My wife and I have been eating weekly at the Salt Lake City Benihana sushi bar for quiets some time. The sushi chefs are great and fun to talk to and the food is a great value. On the occasions, however, that we are served by the older waitress who regularly works there, the experience has become unbearable. She has a real chip on her shoulder and is just plain rude. Even though we like the food, we are frequent dining members of Emperors Club, we are not going to eat at the Salt Lake City Benihana again.

“Atmosphere is great. Service is above average. Food is worse than poor. Example: Caesar salad with no dressing! Bread hard as a rock outside, doughy inside. Double-cut pork chops over-cooked outside, under-cooked inside. Straight olive oil poured onto a plate. No seasoning what-so-ever. I've had better Italian food at a drive-thru fast food joint. As a matter of fact I wish I'd gone to fazoli's.”

“What a delicious flavor I encountered in every meat that was carved at our table. I can honestly say that I didn't think meats could taste this good. The atmosphere was pleasant and the interior decor was happy and soothing along with the background music. The service delivered to our table was immaculate and definitely very professional. I strongly recommend Samba Grill when dining in Salt Lake City.”

“This is the closest I've found around here to the cafes in Europe. It has a very friendly staff and a bright clean environment. The selection of food is amazing; so many different sweet and savory items that becoming a regular is a must. Popular items are the chocolate croissant and the sourdough bread. If it's a one time opportunity hope they are serving the Tomato Basil soup. But best of all is the Chocolate Decadence cake. It has the texture of heavy cheese cake and the flavored of the most amazing brownie. If you love chocolate this is a must! A true and traditional bakery.”

“Trolley wing company is quite the place. They have around 26 different kind of wing's ranging from 1 chili pepper hot to 4 chili pepper hot( the atomic habenero's). Small selection of beer, but why have 25 different kind's. Not many places to sit, so you have to get to know who is sitting next to you. This place is fun and friendly. everybody knows your name kind of place. If you go often enough you can get your own mug engraved with your name.....”

“I'd never been to the Mikado until February 2005. We originally had planned on going to another local sushi restaurant but they were unable to accomodate our group. We called Mikado and they said they could take us, no problem. That should have been our first clue.We were seated in a private dining area and waited. About 15 minutes after we arrived a server came and asked us what we would like to drink. One problem, they'd never brought us menus. After getting enough menus for about 1/3 of our party, we managed to order drinks.Things were ok after that, appetizers came quickly and were ok, although small portion wise. But dinner turned into a disaster. We had to ask for our salads, twice, and did not recieve them until after we'd recieved our entree. Many of the entree's were cold by the time they arrived. We had to ask 4 times for one particular dish, only to be told that the server had never put the order in. The food was mediocre at best, the portions were small especially given the price, and the service was atrocious. They lost 20+ customers that night.”
